hi i downloaded some tracks from bandcamp.com, in wav audio format but when i am trying to open it in Traktor. it is showing error as "File may be missing/corrupt/unsupported. this is happening with only a few of the tracks. some tracks from same site same format work fine. please help! thanks
all you have to do is: 1) open Traktor 2) above your "broken" track collection you'll see a menu "track collection". right click - check consistency. 3) click Relocate and browse to the new location of your tracks
What happens if the relocate doesn't pick up the missing tracks even though they are in the folder selected? Trying to locate a lot of missing tracks at once, does that make it likely to make errors? Better to do it in smaller batches?
Would this mean that we cannot just drag and drop the tracks from the Itunes collection into the mixer? I followed the instructions... but the song error is still there when i try to pull the tracks from the itunes collection. The tracks work fine if i use the track collection window, but i manage the files using Itunes and i find it much easier to find the tracks i use that way.
If you're getting an error when dragging from the iTunes collection, then you need to go into your iTunes program and relocate the tracks in iTunes. There is a whole 15 minute video on this in my online basics course!
Is it possible to relocate a bunch of tracks in a playlist which are randomly placed in many different sub-folders of a master folder( e.g the music folder)
can you please help me somebody. I updated NI and also my Mac. Ive just gone back into Traktor and I have lost my entire music library and all the playlists. How can I retrieve this please? I have a god for a fiends Memorial on Saturday Im super stressed out right now
haha, yeah man, i still love that stuff, if I'm in that kinda mood! ;-) Hope you're well man, been a long time since I visited my own traktor tips stuff here! ;-) I kinda ditched it all - at least for now!
Are you using iTunes or managing your own folders? It may also be down to the fact that you have some badly linked file somewhere? I'd maybe re-organise your entire music collection (outside of traktor) and then delete all music from traktor by disconnecting all music sources and deleting the entire collection and linking them all up again.
Can anyone tell how to recover your playlist h have made.my laptop ran out of battery and once I opened traktor again my playlist was no more there. Any help ???
hope you found these? if you right click on your track collection inside of traktor and then click check consistency - try and relocate stuff first, if that fails, then click the "export collection' first to back up your current collection, and then go back and try "import another collection" and find an old back up of your playlists in the 'back up folder' , within the traktor program files.
Hi, I'm having this issue with traktor 2.6.6 . What I want to do is relocate my whole collection to another folder; I move the files, I relocate the files with traktor, everything's fine. But after I close and re open the program, my playlists are empty. Is this a bug, or am I mising something?
strange - I just did this as a test and the playlists remained! I created a new folder on my HD and dragged all my music over to it - I then closed and reopened traktor - ran consistency report, relocated all tracks and the traktor playlists are still there!? Have you maybe messed with the root directory by mistake? The root directory is where all details of playlists are.
Hey did you see the new release of Traktor!?! They've released an update as there was a problem with corrupted playlists when relocating tracks! Go get the new software update!
This is my least favorite part of using Traktor. Nearly every time I relocate, I'm either told that nothing is missing, when it really is. I would love if the next big Traktor update enabled background relocating of missing files, and also auto-searching in a designated folder.
Hi, what is your email or how can I ask you a question? I may have messed up my files in Traktor and I am thinking how can I start clean? I am reorganizing in I Tunes and THEN I will re upload files into Traktor. Any words of wisdom? Help, anyone? ;) Much appreciated.
DUDE YOU SAVED ME!!!!! Just got the new M1 Macbook Pro and I thought i had to Analyse and reset my whole playlist.
Thanks a million!!!!! 👌
awesome! Glad you got it sorted!
One of the best breakdowns on something I imagined would be complex but is quite simple. Much appreciated, Thanks
Glad you enjoyed it!

Douglas - you need to analyse the tracks via the track collection window - NOT via the iTunes playlist window.
Very nice bro that halped a lot and saved me a lot of time, thanks

Traktor Tips It is, maybe just a windows bug :/
Not sure without testing? Maybe you could submit a ticket to NI?

Good call - 'Background updating' would be awesome!
Great video. Thanks
Hey thanks so much for all that you do!!
you should only have the file in one place - you are simply pointing traktor or itunes to the file.

did you figure this out? head over to my site - you'll find a contact page!
Shouldn't make any difference.
thanks a lot !!
what type of music you're using - no difference between bought music and illegally downloaded music, other than breaking the law! ;-)
