I don't know how is it other countries, but here in czech republic is everyone donor unless you specifically say you don't want to donate your organs when you die for some reason. This means that a chance of finding a donor in time is much higher. Average waiting time for liver transplant is something between 3 to 6 months, but it can be much faster if lucky. My partner was on waiting list for 4 weeks, before he got lucky ..

My husband just got put on the transplant list and his doctor said they couldn’t do partial liver transplants 😢. I’m in America.
