I met him at a local town council meeting 25 years ago. We were discussing zoning of a particular parcel of land that no one really thought particularly significant. Room absolutely silent, Oren spoke and brought such a unique perspective to the discussion. I can't say I'm the same man since.
Sometimes, and not very often in any ones life time, an idea is realized. I purchased much of this land but I don't own it...I steward it. I love this land and will protect it. My concern is the message for the future. I taught my children Mr. Lyons message and hope it passes forward. I hope that more people listen to his philosophy. I hope that ideas like this don't die before I do. Thank you, Mr. Lyons for contributing to our discussion. Thank you for helping us see more clearly. Your wisdom is not for naught.

Rich Stone I have to pause him on TH-cam sometimes to go visit someone else. I think it's okay. He dances with the feather in this one at least. 🧚

I actually mentioned that quote to my daughter yesterday... "speak softly, and carry a big stick". 🙂

He was criticizing that quote being a justification for imperialist domination of less fortunate people.

Just before I turned 12 yrs. old my family moved to Liverpool NY on the shores of Lake Onandaga. Those shores were covered with dead white fish. I didn’t know but my dreams became precognitive and showed what was happening in my family back in Canada. This series of videos brings it all back. Thank you.

Thank you for sharing. I am Norse and many similarities of indigenous beliefs across the globe. For the Norse, we revere similar animal spirits. The Great Tree reminds me of our Yggdrasil- the World Tree. We are all connected and future is in our collective hands, minds, and most importantly Spirit!

Also for german tribes trees were holy...a monc in 723 cut the "thunderoak" which was holy for the tribe called Chatten in the middle of Germany...the monc wanted to show them that their god has no power and Jesus has more power...lots of tribes wanted to keep their gods and believes from their spiritual world...but catholic church together with several kings and imperators killed them...and in 782 King Karl ordered to kill 4500 Saxons in just one day in Verden..the river Aller was red from their blood...catholic church build churches over the holy sites of the tribes and more than 400 years of inquisition made the rest...burning thousands of women alive...cuase they have had the wisdom of healing with plants and kept the spirit of the tribes alive.....but now nothing is left....

This interview highlights the impatience reflected in the leading questions and interruptions by the interviewer and so many other such American reporters. The guest was either interrupted mid-sentence or had already answered a question only to be requestioned or challenged to answer differently. Someone might/should have pulled out the talking stick. I think the guest handled this interview like a CHIEF!

Grandfather of all colors and nations, there are 8 billion souls incarnated now, and 7 billion of them never ever get to reincarnated from the underworld when grandmother is chief, president, queen and pharaoh. You Grandfather, you have ruled alone for 3000 years, this is why what you speak will never happen. It is the end of the era of time, then end of grandfathers leadership.
