Just started teaching myself how to tattoo at 30 so I was soooo happy to see this recommended to me. I'm not a seasoned artist so I have a lot to learn on all skills fronts but it feels exciting. Good luck!!!

Aw so inspiring! I am 29 and have wanted to tattoo since I graduated from university, but life got in the way, did not know where to start and the creative field was alien to me. I am just building the courage now to get on it and follow my dream! Wish me luck! :)

When trying to remove the ink from the fake skin vaseline is your best friend. Try it out the next time. The stencil has to be dryed properly. 24 hours dry time.

Can you make a video about tattoo designing process in Procreate? I'd love to see what brushes you use, which settings etc. Also it would be great if you can talk about finding references, drawing stencils as well. Thanks!

Hello there! You have inspired me a lot by watching your videos. I'm 40 now, I have a degree in Graphic Design and work a 9-5 job, but not in the graphic design world yet. This year I decided to watch tattoo videos on YT to educate myself and ask "is this something I can do?" I follow some channels and IG pages as well which they also inspired me. I bought many materials to practice at home as well, even started recording myself for a future YT channel on my journey too. I just invested in a tattoo beginning online course to see if this is the right fit for me as a new career. So, let's see. Great line work and awesome content! Keep going! Love it! I wish you a great career.

I am also a graphic designer who just started tattoo practicing! I was able to do a hand full of tattoos on friends and family and myself and I am loving it but don't really know where to go from here haha

@amandaambrose4570 my advice is keep developing a good portfolio and present that to a shop that you can get that expensive working full time to get your own clients. Try investing in how the business of tattooing works. So sooner or later you can open up your own show and be your own boss and now work for no one. I think that's what I would do and also plan.

Hey, I’m a Burmese who has been stucking in Siberia and I can’t go back to my home country cuz of the civil war. And now I’m thinking about to be a freelancer, a tattoo artist. Here, I have language barrier. I used to study graphic design but no experiences at all. And it stops me from being a graphic designer. No international platforms to get money from design jobs.
And receiving money from abroad is also an another issue cuz I’m not really good in finding the ways out to earn digital currency. 💷
In August , I studied with a tattoo master who can speak English here. And it was just a short training for 2 days. 6 hours for each day all about safety and hygiene procedures and the knowledge for basic lines and shading techniques.Of course , it’s not enough for me to be a tattoo artist for sure. 😂
And now , I’m on my own tattooing journey and watching some useful videos on TH-cam, like yours. And I’ve been learning dark-lettering and Calligraphy, especially gothic styles. Been two months already, and collected all the supplies which I need. Thank you for creating all of those informative videos.
Wish you happiness and a successful career ahead !
Your positive energy also makes me feel good.
    A great TH-camr! 🤗✨

I love the tattoo you drew in the last part of the video. Good luck to you and everyone else in the comments who want to be a tattoo artist. Myself included, I don't know if I want to be a tattoo artist but I definialty want to do it for fun if you know what I mean. I mean I would love to be a tattoo artist but for fun if that makes sense. There are many things in the world I would like to do but I can't do everything but I want to do as much as I can and tattoo artist is one of them is that makes sense.

Heyyy 🤍 thank you so much for your feedback means a lot.I do enjoy using kwadron needles a lot. I actually used them on the first tattoos I did on skin on a friend of mine and they were so smooth but I have been enjoying Cyber lately because of their extra soft grip, they also make me feel like they protect the machine from fluids getting in a bit better.
As I am still practicing and learning I don’t believe you can go wrong with any of these two. Maybe practice with the more affordable option and save up for the more expensive needles for real skin.
Thank you so much for being here ✨

Hello so I am a 25+ years tattoo artist from the Bay Area sf area scrolling on TH-cam for normal tattoo videos I some reason saw your video so with respect let me say this- please please don’t be a tattoo artist do not, I have seen the trend wave so many people trying to learn the whole cutesy thing just really makes the industry shake with embarrassment to be a successful tattoo artist these days requires so so much from a traditional/ progressive standpoint this new cute wave of girls trying to teach themselves, will never last there just trends or just trendy content creators way of just making content I think that’s you since your sponsored as you mentioned a few times so literally it’s just for content. It also seems you have no history knowledge on tattooing which is not to be skipped it’s actually the 2st thing you need to learn before buying a rotory machine a real apprenticeship would never have you do so. Is your gonna tattoo please just don’t make content without knowing what your doing,
2/ get an apprenticeship with a walk in shop is a necessity that way you will come to an quick understanding that tattooing is not intended to be cute or for a fad. Please respect the tattoo industry.

Hey there, thank you for sharing your thoughts and experience. I respect your perspective, but I believe tattooing can be expressed in many ways-whether cute, soft, cozy, aggressive, bold, or however an artist chooses to represent their vision. The tattoo, art, and tech communities are evolving, just like any other, and personally, I appreciate that change.
Growing up, I never felt completely welcomed in traditional tattoo shops, where the environment often felt more aggressive, dark, or bold-reflecting a certain 'manly' old-school aesthetic. From the interior design of the studios to the style of tattoos, it didn’t resonate with me.
As for the sponsorships, creating videos sharing my art and experience is quite hard and time consuming mixing videography , photography and so many more art forms so having opportunities to get support while doing and staying true to my intentions is a win for me.
For the past 10 years, I've been working as a traditional and digital artist, and for 4 years, I’ve designed over 200 tattoo designs that have been inked on people by artists across different areas,so please don’t be so quick to judge,I think there’s room for all styles in the tattoo world, and every artist should have the freedom to express their vision while respecting the craft.
That said, I completely understand the importance of history, traditions, and foundations of tattooing but resources nowadays are far more accessible, online seminars and classes by top tattoo artists that can help every artist learn, whether they are new or seasoned. I appreciate your advice about apprenticeships and the need for hands-on learning in a real shop environment, and it’s a step moving forward but still I value my personal research and need to learn in a respectful way that also fits my needs.
Thank you again for your input, and I hope we can both continue to contribute to the evolving tattoo community in our own ways, with respect for its roots and openness to its future.

Tattoo industry is evolving like every other industry and you need to evolve with that. We don't need to go through the same 'apprenticeship' process like your generation did. We don't need to waste months swiping floors and running errands to get some guidance on something we are actually passionate about. I understand and respect the traditional approach but it's just not necessary anymore, gatekeepers like you should be ashamed of doing this for years. Information should have been free, apprenticeship should have been paid. Luckily we have artists who can see that and they are helping us to foster our talent without spending months as slaves.

I don’t even want to comment of this to push it into the algorithm but @kanCre8 has a very legitimate argument.
Iv been tattooing for 15 years +, earnt my stripes from the ground up. Iv never seen the industry so washed out and over saturated, nor have I witnessed so many incredible, talented and hardworking industry staple artists stuggling so badly. Iv had co- workers who have lived and breathed tattooing for before I even start having to find other jobs to support their families. This isn’t gatekeeping, this is our complete lives and livelihoods. We traded months to years of unpaid work to show our dedication and respect to our mentors who had done it even harder before us to “pay” for the knowledge they were handing down. I understand everything changes, and this industry isn’t exempt from that, but making videos like this is only encouraging others to potentially infect, scar or dismember others at the price of a new hobbie or some views online. I can understand ignorance, but find it very hard to swallow if you’r saying you actually understand the overall effects to how this is actually fucking up the industry we love with our souls.
I dunno, whatever. Go for it
      Everyone gets a medal, right?
Integrity has never fallen on so many deaf ears
