Wayland??? It would be really nice if Waylon's name was spelled correctly. I also resent the fact that Jessi is described as being known for her "rocky" relationship with Waylon. I think that Jessi being known for her deep and abiding LOVE for Waylon would be much more appropriate.

His name WAS spelled correctly. His mother and father had decided to name him Wayland. When the pastor of Wayland Bible College paid them a visit. The pastor said they heard Mrs. Jennings had named him Wayland. The mother said, "Not on your life", and decided to change his name to Waylon !!! Regarding Waylon and Jessi's marriage, the truth of the matter is that they did indeed have a "rocky marriage !!!

If they produce good fruits or bad fruits so we are not judging God tells us that we are to discern whether they have good or bad fruits meaning are they obeying the Bible or not. Sure, Waylon had his problems, but if Jessi shunned him (as your insinuating she should have) he would have never turned his life over to Christ. Christ spoke with prostitutes, and after being questioned for doing so, told his accusers "he that is without sin cast the first stone". The idea that Christians should completely avoid non-believers does nothing for the cause of Christ and could completely turn away many from being led to Jesus.
Christ hung out with tax collectors and dined with sinners. You encounter sinful people every day. You have to even live with yourself-a SINNER. Worldly accolades and accomplishments and earnings have no power over you unless you allow them to do so. You might want to brush-up on your New Testament. Your brain seems stuck in the pages of Leviticus.
