I first heard this album as a promotional track from Motown in the ABC cinima in Edinburgh. I went out and bourght the record straight away. My friend had a mate staying with us at the time who had got some tickets to Marvin Gaye in Amsterdam. So we went via Hull to get to Amsterdam. It was a fab concert. It will always be a wonerful memory.

As of 3/23/2020, or as everyone else does 23/3/2020, during covid19 epidemic, I heard an interview on BBC with Spike Lee for some movie he wrote and directed, which at this writing I don't know the name, but, he said in the interview that this album was the greatest of all time. So with a little bourbon and medicinal marijuana I gave it a listen and Holy Shit, this is one great fucking album. Also, I'm from Detroit.
