FOILDRIVE EXTERNAL ANTENNA - TEST

I received and tested the External Antenna for the Foildrive Gen 2. I took the Takoon Prosurf 4'6 equipped with carbon rails, on which the Gen2 signal without the antenna does not pass at all. Today, we debrief on the installation, use, and efficiency of this antenna.

Hadou, j’avais compris l’inverse dans les recos de Foil Drive pour la charge des batteries : chargeur non branché sur le secteur, connecter la batterie, puis brancher le chargeur. Et une fois la charge finie, débrancher le chargeur et ensuite déconnecter la batterie…

On vient de reprendre le manuel car ya « debat » 😉 foildrive disent de d’abord brancher le chargeur sur secteur, et ensuite brancher…

Salut. Sur le site Foildrive! 😄😄 tu as des distributeurs en france comme Glisse evolution a pornichet par exemple. La liste est sur leur site

C est pas très abouti vu le tarif. Il y a des systèmes intermédiaires d émission / réception beaucoup plus simples et sans fil !

Le systeme foildrive est concu sans fil. Cette antenne pallie a certaines incompatibilité sur certaines planches. Toutes les autres solutions concurrentes sur le marché du foil assist qui se placent sous la planche, ont une antenne filaire également. Il ne faut pas oublier qu’on est oas sur un usage terrestre ici.

Tu as exactement le même bricolage chez la concurrence, ( enfin le fil qui longe la board ) sauf qu’ils l’avaient prévu dès le début.(stoke, manta.

@@HadrienBRUNNER they had to learn (copy) from someone! ;) In a retrofit product with 1000's of different size and shape boards with different constructions, its very difficult to make every single last combination work! In this example a wire is necessary for the signal to be transmitted thru the carbon track and board so you cannot eliminate the cable. We had made cable clips that you could stick to the board instead of the tape but it was bulk and draggy on the bottom of the board and affected how the board felt on the water. the tape is has no affect on ride feel! Clear rail protection tape looks nicer!
