What an all time great movie by Mickey Rooney. I grew up in the 60's & 70's going to the midget races every Friday night at the Pine Brook Speedway not 10 miles from the true gasoline ally in Paterson NJ where open wheel racing was born. This movie as well as To Please A Lady with Clark Gable inspired my mediocre midget racing career in the late 70's & 80's..... It's so cool to be able to see these movies on the net.
I never went to an Indy race only stock car racing and speed racing in our hometown of Unadilla New York this was very exciting love the movie the storyline could have been a little better but I love Mickey Rooney he's the tops in all his movies thank you for this one:)

Mickey Rooney's revival film noir movies are a hoot, and this is no exception.
The story line is wanting, but, it is nice
to see some of the cars and the tracks
when there were races three nights and
some Sundays. Viva nostaglia.
