Your technical video's are very detailed and concise!! Those upgraded diff lockers will definitely reduce the chance of any future problems with parts breakage. Have a great riding season this year and keep producing the awesome content that "The Crew" is known for !!!!
Love these tech videos. You should be in a better spot now with the new front ends and limit straps. Smartlok hasn't failed me yet on the x3 but the day is coming I'm sure.
I just realized that my splines on my pinion are twisted. I hope I can just replace my pinion and bearing and seals and not mess with shims or anything else. I have a Halo 30 with billet case
Thank you. No, so far the only upgrades we’ve done was high clearance trailing arms and the front diff and axles. They are pretty much stock other than that. We still run stock rear axles too.
would upgrading to a halo 30 and turner axles or rcv axles be worth it if i have a smart lok diff already? my smart lok diff is ratcheting at the moment im guessing its the hub gears but would you recommend just rebuilding the smartly or upgrading to a halo 30? im not out hitting climbs and stuff like you guys do my roughest riding is ripping through mud holes more than climbing things.
A smart lok should not ratchet. There are 2 side gears that strip. Once they go the teeth get ground up and cause all types of issues. Mud, ruts, rocks are all hard on the smart lok. If your having any issues now I would bite the bullet and buy a halo 30. 2 smart lok diffs would pay for a halo 30. So just depends on cost of rebuild and how many times you want to do that before upgrading haha. It’s been the best upgrade we’ve done by far.
It’s definitely not a cheap hobby is it lol. I’m really hoping The Halo diff and Turner axles will save us down time and money in the long run. Time will tell 🤘🏻💯
So glad you did this video! I learned so much! My gf has a 2022 x3 120hp model, I'm pretty sure our has a visco front diff. I just gott a 21 x3 195hp model, does it have a different front diff?
Glad you liked it. The 2022 model years come with a smart lok. Even the 120hp one. 2017-2021 120hp cars all have the visco. So your options would be to buy a full halo or find a cheap visco diff to use in its place. Probably not cost friendly either way you do it.
@@TheCanAmCrew have you had any issues with it? Currently running a welded smart lok but can’t keep axles in to save my life but I have a good Visco diff laying in the shop
Maybe it's time we switch the Honda haha this is the old man that talk to you out at Tri-County I wish I would have run into you later on in the day I could have put you on some good trails you would have liked

Thank you, we gave them a good beat down this past weekend. I can say I am very happy with them so far. 1st Vid drops Friday.👌

I would think you would be ok doing that.
Really appreciate the information 💪
No problem. Hope it helps.
Great video. Have you ever upgraded anything other than the axles on the rear drivetrain?

Ok your intro has $12000 buck in parts. Gotta love UTV riding. 🤘🤘

Sorry almost forgot to answer your last question. Yes, You both have the same front diff.
@@TheCanAmCrew yeah sounds expensive! Lol, she has 3yr warranty. I have none... Very helpful thank you!
On halo site I can’t find the option to buy all the internals and use a Visco case
It’s not an option persay you have to call and ask. Ask for chip. He is the one who got me going.

Haha, We’ll definitely be back to tri county this summer. We always have a good time there.
Looks like double trouble, nice up grades. Hope they last.
Thanks, me too haha.
