I just ordered a pair since my job now requires steel or comp toe. I'm glad they are true to size.. Actually rolled over my toe twice with a handjack so these will be great to work in.
I needed a steel toe/composite toe shoe for my job. I am usually not a big fan of steel toe boots, seeing as how I usually work in triple digit heat most days, and I don't enjoy my feet sweating in the confinement of a work boot. The only color available at the moment of purchase for these shoes was black with grey, but what I like about New balance shoes is that they are both comfortable and they usually sell the shoe in an extra wide fit, which is perfect for me. Hoping these fit just as well as their regular running/tennis shoes when they arrive in the mail.
Nice review. I just ordered. Database tech at a manufacturing facility who never has to enter the production environment. Unfortunately some corporate bean counters decided we to have them under our desks.
They are a good pair for a safety shoe requirement, I have a high arch which lead me to change the insoles to a sport gel insert. That did make a major difference for me - 8hr to 11hrs on my feet (Up to 35,000 steps a day).
I work in an ESD sensitive environment AND may be around a strong magnetic field. (MRI mfg tech) this is my next shoe. will provide feedback if there's an appetite. cheers
Just got the 412 alloy toe. 8 didn't need a steel toe, but these seemed the best all around best option. Like every NB I've owned, they will need some breaking in.

Yea, RME (Robotics, Maintenance, and Engineering), IT have to wear them in our facility as well.
