A moment that was crucial, but will likely flow under the radar: The defense of the inbound pass with 18.3 seconds left. Because it forced South Carolina to use their last timeout, resulting in them having none left for the final inbound after the eventual game winner.

My basketball coach always told me..u gotta make your free throws. Free throws win games To miss 2 of the most CRUCIAL shots in the entire game and for them to be free throws is humiliating. Sc has humility now. Humility is important for growth . But damn Zia HIT YOUR FREE THROWS. Epic display Kentucky.

First conference tourney title in 40 years. What a great win for UK. For the number one team in the nation that just lost a conference tournament championship game in dramatic fashion, it was classy of the South Carolina coaches to embrace UK's coach. Great game. Worthy of a SEC Storied story. Outstanding story to tell.

WOW, that's all I can say. Great game.
As in the famed Bible story David and Goliath, David used one stone to bring down Goliath. In this game, it took one shot to beat South Carolina. I can imagine Kyra Elzy looking at Dawn Staley in the eye and saying: (mentally) "You may have the number 1 team in the nation, but my team will NOT buckle under pressure. Don't underestimate us." Well, the Lady 'Cats just proved an old saying: It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog. In this case, it was the size of the fight in the Wildcat.

looking at my 2022 draft I still think rhyne howard overrated asf. she's the most inconsistent player who puts no effort into games where she could easily take over. and games where she cant she's pitiful and has no impact what so ever. she's a shooting guard as consistent as chrystan williams(which if you know who she is from rhyne's same class you know this is not a compliment lol). she is not the end all be all piece for a franchise and thus not a franchise player. still think naylessa is a better choice. dre edwards was a more consistent and powerful piece to this team that lead to their success not rhyne imo
