Also companies now have in their minds the fact that Kpop has grown so much that those years (you're mentioning a period before Gangnam Style) and I guess they're trying to produce a type of music that international fans could like as well? If music is worse or better, I think that depends on what you listen to. Just today I was thinking that when I joined to the Kpop fandom my favorite artists were all from SM. but right now, most of the music that I like are from smaller companies or YG. There's a huge variety to choose from, for real. I think Kpop is trying to "immitate"? I'm sure there's people who might miss HOT or Finkl, etc, but they split up and focused on their personal careers. That's how life is. Sorry, it was too long.
