I have the Xiaomi MIX 3 and this works, but instead of installing these APK files, you can install just QuickShortcutmaker 2.4.0 and save some time. Basically all you need to do is get your phone to the point where you can access the phone's settings, then set a pin code. Finally, Do a full reset and you are done. Then just setup the phone and use it.
