This is a really fascinating topic whose importance must not be overlooked. During my last visit to the optometrist, they applied atropine drops to dilate my pupil. I can only describe the next hour as uplifting and mind-boggling, as I couldn't see my floaters at all. Having suffered with them for 15 years, I wondered if the atropine drops had cured them but unfortunately they did not. Nevertheless, the experience was encouraging and I emphasize that, in my view, safe pupil dilation is the most likely "way out" in the short term.
Investing time in studies about the safety of Atropine for the long term would seem the smart thing to do. This is a drug that has given me my life back but I am concerned about long-term usage. I'd love to hear one day it's fine and won't harm the eye in any way. I can function with this drug and feel it could help others tremendously.
I don't think it would be good for the eye. You are exposing the retina to more light. But is the trade off worth it? I've done dilation and it's an amazing feeling because alot of the floaters go away. But I doubt it's good for the eye.
Sounds great for a day out, but you can't use it for screen-work, because it prevents your ability to focus. Good to hear conversation about this nonetheless!
With just 0,01% atropine drops it's definitely possible to use it for screen-work. If your eye floaters are such big problem that you are thinking about atropine then you have to accept little light sensitivity. If you can't accept that then your problem with eye floaters is not so big.
Atropine eye drops works, there is not even a question, in some people it reduces all symptoms, in others just 20-30% but always it's better with dilation than without. Question is how safe it is to use low dose in the long run.
@@tammygravis1462 i hope some confirmation from something comes out soon about this, also from what I heard it's even using to control myopia on kids, so It can't be bad in long term. hopefully. but definitely, it's safer than a FOV or someone playing arcade games with my eyes.

You actually can but you need to decrease the percentage of atropine so the out of focus distance is less.

One day I hope there's just a pill you can take to have your pupils auto dilate or a nanobot injected into your eyes to find and melt the floaters
sir please search any good treatment for eye floter because we are very sad
Encontraste la cura?

How long have you used it? yes, I'm fine living with this if I just knew it was safe.

How did you prepare atropine?
@@muratesgin1723 do you have atropine?
It only works because less light enters the eye because of the dilation which in itself causes problems.
keep up ❤️❤️❤️
