You maybe in a position where you have filed an RTI Application but not received a reply for the same or are not satisfied by the reply. For that purposes as well the RTI Act puts down mechanism to tackle such situations.
The RTI Act, 2005 sets forth guidelines and procedures for applicants who have not been given the information they seek in time or are not satisfied with the information provided to them. An individual for the very same can go through a chain of appeals after the initial time period of 30 days to be supplied with an answer lapses.
The RTI Act, 2005 also makes provision that if an applicant gives
an application to an Assistant CPIO or the wrong public authority, 5 days are added to the generally prescribed time frame.
If an applicant is not satisfied with the response received or does not get a response at all or in the prescribed time frame then an individual should file an appeal with the relevant first appellate authority within 30 days of the expiry of the 30 day time period to supply information. Such an appeal will be reviewed and disposed off within 30 days of receipt, or 45 days in exceptional circumstances. If the appeal is still not disposed off or if you are still unsatisfied, one can file a second appeal to Central Information Commission. this appeal must be done away within 90 days from the date of the last day of the 30 or 45 day time period of the first appeal.
Getting the information that you have asked for is your right and by way of the RTI Act it has been made sure that the information so asked for is provided to an applicant. Even if the asked for information is not provided within the stipulated time frame then a series of appeals have also been put into place to make sure the information so asked for is provided.

Guys file rti online, which will cost u only ₹ 10 & save paper as well as PIO will hv to reply. Physical rti will cost u around ₹ 50 including postal charges, as replier will also bear same cost. So file online to save the paper and get reply on time.

Respected Sir,
I was filled an R. t. i. Application against Chandigarh Police that come under Union Territory.
First I was sent R. T. I. to the Concerned Public Information Officer - Police Department Chandigarh & wait for 30 days for reply.
After that I was file my application to the First Appealate Authoriy but still i was not getting any kind of response from there in 45 days
At last , I was filed an Second Appeal in Central Information Commission - New Delhi and my matter was registered and are in Queue but more than 90 days are over but still not recieve any kind of response from there.
So Right now what should can I Do?
Is there any third appeal file anywhere against C.I.C - New Delhi please revert?
Can anyone filed RTI about how many applied cases is not solved by SPIO/CPIO within 30 days prescribed limits...Count maybe in big numbers

My application has been disposed off but I have not received any mails from the respective institute for which I filed my request application and there is written that pls check your mail. I checked everywhere like spam,starred etc but not received

No, there is no fees for appeal as there is one site which handle all online rti. Rti.gov.in

प्रश्न : एक ही आवेदन पर आवेदनकर्ता कई विषयों (या एक ही विषय ) पर 5-6 वर्षों तक की आय एवम् व्यय की समग्र जानकारी मांग सकता है?
जानकारी कितनी specific होनी चाहिए? कितनी वित्त वर्षों की जानकारी एक साथ एक ही आवेदन पर मांग सकते हैं।
उदा.
स्वच्छ भारत अभियान के तहत 2015-16 से 2019-20 सत्र तक आवंटित राशि एवम् व्यय का संपूर्ण विवरण।

what i do...
first i was rti application to ap state education cvommissionor office about filling of teacher posts recruitment in all the ap districts since 2003.
they replied me to contact DEO office.
after that i hhad applied to ap state RTI commission. they called me for hearing. i was attended. yesturday they send me a letter to contact DEOs.
now iam not satisfied with their answer.
how the DEO (district educational officers have whole state data?
( i want to filled, unfilled , remaining vaccant teacher posts data of all the AP state since 2003 recruitments)
now what i do ?
can i contact CIC or AP PIO IC for second appeal... or any other way ?

I asked for information but the party for whom i asked the information he wrote a letter to them that information shouldn’t provided to me as his family will be destroyed. So responsible authorities not providing the information. I did first appeal and bdo gave me a date for conciliation but knowingly they are doing absent. As i am traveling to ofc arround 220km.
