I think someone should try making a system out of aluminized steel. Back in the day, we had problems with vipers sounding too tinny and raspy too, especially with stainless. Titanium isn’t much better. Corsa and borla back then were the big hitters in ss exhaust. Then a small company named Ballanger made tri-y headers but more importantly an aluminized steel exhaust that sounded eons better. The science is that aluminum changes the resonance tone to a lower frequency. Anyway, it’d be worth a shop to try it because these s58 suffer from the same problem and the foreign car market is just so dead set on ss or ti and overlooking a great material.
Quick question. Assuming everything else is stock, is the titanium midpipe noticeably louder than the stainless steel, the same or a little louder? They both read around the same on the decibel meter but the pops and higher range sound louder to me on this titanium midpipe

Sheesh sounds insane can't wait for part 2
Bro, sounds AMAZING! Love the E46 M3 clip!
Is this the stock valve controller ?
the amg plate cover 😂
The equal length midpipe makes it sound a lot like an RB26
Yeah it loses its character.
That intro😮
Is this car tuned at all?
The titanium midpipe is growing on me. I have a g87 on the way and was dead set on the steel midpipe… but I’m not so sure now 😭

Is this considered a cat back exhaust?
yes
Since you're removing all the resonators with the midpipe is there any drone with this setup?
@@VincentCammarata-r1w none of
@@valvetronic what does "none of" mean? can you please clarify your answer? Thank you.
@@VincentCammarata-r1w apologies, there is no drone with the valves open or closed. it’s the ideal setup
@@valvetronic Thank you.
This sounds fantastic. 2 Questions - is there any drone? How much louder is it than stock in both modes?
@@charlesdigisco6343 no drone. Valves closed is stock. Valves closed is a huge sound increase
@@valvetronic Do I need to get a valve controller? I should have clarified, is there any drone when the valves are open?
Does this void the warranty?
No!
Would be great to also get a multi-part video with each add on but all for the stainless steel setup.
@@uspnightfire115 it’s already out!
I thought the s58s came with EL from factory unlike previous gen
neither f80 or g80 came equal length, which is why they don't sound good from factory
Will a midpipe cause CEL?
no
No
Yes on Euro OPF/GPF cars.
