Silverpicker! I want to get into silver and I have about a $200 budget. Where should I go and what do you think I should invest in? Rounds and bars, or coins?
Israel definitely seems to be a strong believer in bigger is better, those medals are HUGE. I bought one, just one, which features an old Roman coin (very similar to one in this video) and I thought mine was pretty chunky.
The Chinese "Cash Coin" is more than likely just a lucky coin. Generally, they'll have 4 coins on a red string and it will be hung inside a business. As a lucky charm. Next time you're in a Chinese restaurant or hair place look around for them you may find them there hung on the doorknob or something. Unfortunately, most of them are novelty coins, not old and not worth anything. However, there are real ones floating about, commonly found metal detecting. It's just not very likely you'll come across a real one than it is likely you'll find the novelty coins first. Hope that helps a little. 🙂
according to jewish law its said that it needs to be between 96-102 grams of silver and each coin is 20.57 grams so you would need 5 of the pidyon haben coins.
