We live on a small farm. With horses here, snow and ice aren’t to fun!! We lost power for 5 days in 2010 with five horses stuck in the barn for over a week and with no power, the well didn’t work. Lucky for us, we filled 2, 100 gallons water tanks and even though the top froze at night, we could still water the horses. After that, I called a generator company and ask for a home generator. It wasn’t cheap but that thing is a life saver when you have livestock and need to get water to them. This channel helps to keep people advised on upcoming winter weather. We loaded up the barn with what we need for the critters, have plenty of supplies, the propane was just filled and we are ready!! Y’all stay safe out there!!
I can't imagine the challenges of having a farm and livestock. We are in Wisconsin and live rural, but no live stock to worry about. Praying that you and your animals stay safe.

Unfortunately, it always misses us here in Berks County, Pennsylvania (Reading). I don't understand what happened to the great winters we used to have getting lots of snow.

Have the kids help put batteries in the battery operated candles. 5. We are taking down the outside Christmas decor early. It will be a mess after being covered with ice and snow and then long cold spell after the storm doesn't sound pleasant. 6.Depending how long the electric is out, I am going to call the electric company and give them an ear full! It's not like I live in the sticks or anything. It is ridiculous how often my power goes out and how long it is out for. I wish the neighbors would just cut down the trees in the power lines! Nw Ohio always gets skipped on the good snow. We always get screwed
Praying the ice trends further south of KC metro. If power goes out here could be brutal
Still really hoping it shifts north. We really need the snow for our farms up here in WI.
Yeah my trees and garden need insulation before the bitter cold 😢
We got ice last night in Kentucky. Bad roads!
Southern illinois here 😮
Me too! I have decided I'm done with Ryan Hall. He can't even say Illinois. So glad I found Max Velocity!
Belleville checking in 😂
I'm near West Frankfort!
@@katherinesteinmetz209 ME TO HOPE IT PASS US BUY ❄️☃️
I'm in Anna and just hoping the ice doesn't come to pass but I will be prepared just in case. Every time a squirrel farts here the power blinks so no I don't get a good feeling about any ice accumulation.
Central ky here. Seems like we always catch the ice from these storms 😢
Praying for all who are in this path!
Thanks and congratulations on your growth . Please don’t sell out to the big msm, keep growing and make it yourself. You will end up a happier person seeing your accomplishments. Great coverage Max
I guess Im making plans to drive my daughter to work this weekend. Thanks Max!
Ugh! Man this blows we want snow in Wisconsin!!
Can we talk about how theres Green Grass in Northern Maine? In January?
Because the weather has been " historic " these past few years😶
It doesn’t snow much in mass anymore and the lakes don’t freeze up … global warming
Same in Wisconsin
Thanks Max! And I was able to enjoy watching Cheese Curd playing behind you while getting informed. Double thanks! 😺
❤What a great meteorologist this man is ! His presentation is powerful and gets my attention! Give him a raise! He deserves one !
So where is the big snow storm he showed to get clicks?

Good morning Max. Ty for the update. 😊
Good Morning Max!
It’s definitely looking like a super cold January. It’s 41 in north Tampa and to think it gets colder here 😅
Thank you for the update & stay safe! 🙏👍
Hi, Max... N. FL here.. frost on the windshield this AM. Yur my "go to" for weather after I'm off work. Thx 4all you do to get us prepared. 👍
Morning max, thank you as always! I'm a railroader near the great lakes and your forecasts are the only ones I trust. Thanks boss!
I've got a private family mausoleum build happening in St Louis, it is now on hold so I'm hunkering down here in WNC. Generator is full of gas in the back of my 4x4 Tundra. I'm grateful to be able to be prepared.
I was hoping for something in Dallas. Snow, ice, something. But our extended forecast is showing almost 50 next Friday. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in the upper 30s lower 40s. No snow though. 😢
That's good you idjit. Did you forget how most the power was knocked out by a freezer storm like this awhile back?
@ Yes. I completely forgot that I had to drive to Arkansas with Covid because I had no power and hotels were booked throughout the area. Did I say I wanted an ice storm? Reading comprehension not your strong suit? I would like some snow or enough ice to shut the city down so I can stay home for a couple days and enjoy some time off from work. You seem like the type of person that nobody likes. You’re the reason people like me want snow days, so we don’t have to see you and deal with you in person.
Max, thank you do much. Uou are really appreciated.
Worried about Tennessee.. what do we need to expect 😢😢😢
you are articulate therefore easy to understand. no um's aah humm, ect. just clear info, quick and informative, thank you
That 20% scenario is exactly what happened when we had the blizzard of 93, PRAYING history doesn't repeat itself!
I’m in South Carolina and I was hoping we would get some snow 😢 been about 10 years since a half decent snow here
Much gratitude Max ❤
I’m in Missouri thank you for reporting
I’m in Missouri
I appreciate you, Max!! Thank you for the daily updates 🙂 My elderly Dad & I are prepared for the winter storm. Full fridge & freezers, salt/ice melt, generator if needed, and propane heaters if the power goes out 😁
A winter storm warning was issued for Southern Illinois earlier. Please if you are in the winter storm warning be prepared and stay safe ❤️
Gonna be 🥶 Cold in Memphis for Elvis Presley's 90th birthday event. 🥶
Dress warm.
I enjoy watching Max's update. As a ND resident this is normal weather for this time of year. Snow, ice, below zero temps. Easy Peasy!
What do you expect for Tennessee? 😢
St.louis here bring it on
Beaufort South Carolina never gets any snow 😢
Mrs Moore here, 1989 blizzard, it shut Beaufort and surrounding areas down for 4 days. I and many co-workers were stuck on Haig Point Daufuski Island for 2 of those days, no electricity. We were part of Security, EMS first responders. Only the ones that held these titles were able to travel once our ferry system was The blizzard of 1989, the largest in history for the southeastern states, blanketed Beaufort County in three to eight inches of snow. The one and only white Christmas on record wasn't a cakewalk for those who weathered it. Pipes burst in Bluffton. Many lost power. to run.
2 inches in 78, in beaufort..i was there
In salt lake city usually have 30 inches by january, this year zero.
I knew it would go further north. I'm ready for a really good snow in Georgia!
I have been begging for a big snowstorm to hit Cincinnati. I hope qe get a good bit of snow! I hope eveyone can stay safe and the power remains on for all areas impacted. But I've been wishing for a lot of snow for YEARS
Then go to perfect north !!!!!
Cincinnati Ohio
Thank you so much, my favorite weather guy ❤️
I'm on the line between big snow or big ice just south of st louis *nail biting*.
It won’t be that bad
Thanks for the updates. Cheers from Wisconsin
Thank you for the update. :)
We got 6 feet of snow suddenly in early december in central Ontario. Im sure you folks will be fine.
"Long Dark Winter"
Wonder how he knew?🤔
Climate scientists been talking about these weather events for decades
@@That.Lady.withtheYarn yep, 1891 was the 1st patent for creating rainfall. Don't argue. Just look it up.
If I had a nickle every time I heard that lol
😂
As a kid I’ve always wanted snow being an hour south of Houston, TX. But now having my own home, I kinda don’t look forward to it. But because of your knowledge Max, I trust you and will prepare just in case this happens. Thanks for caring for everyone equally in the states ❤
Thanks, Max!!
Man. I’m starting to plan this one. Since I’m in the STL area
Im disappointed 😞 I was hoping for snow in Mississippi.
Good report, fast-paced, and well detailed.
