    This is not graphene.
    Graphene is very tough, one atom thick carbon atoms that bind firmly between themselves, therefore they'll not bind with any other element, so electrons are passing over its surface very easily, making it highly conductive.
    This is still graphite, but in very fine form.

    Make a capacitor of it , if it collect enough charge like active carbone it mean its graphene

      @@karunakarankartheehan7666 graphene can have Large surface area so it can store more charge / gram .
      But it's not the way to make graphene , graphene is made by intercalating Ions in the graphite powder and exfoliating it with the Heat or microwave energy .

      @@omsingharjit I believe you're referring to the purest form of graphene which is stronger than diamond lighter than a feather and invisible to the naked eye, there is graphene in the video just not the kind you're thinking of

    Did you compare the conductivity using graphite powder? Otherwise, you only demonstrated the conductivity of powder graphite washed with soap or detergent and dried. How do you prove your compound is graphene now?

      @@ferget9111check out Robert Murray-Smiths channel. He does almost the exact same process (and several others). He’s works with and making graphene for years, and has several videos on how to make it.

    I used to think it was interesting pencil lead was conductive in Electronics class. Can you tell me what about blending the graphite with soap turns it into Graphine? Or is it just the fact that it’s thin.

      The soap and fluids wash away the dirt or clay that's on the graphite making it become graphene but not the kind that's stronger than diamond

    that is not graphene. All you produced in pulverized graphite. Graphene is a single layer of carbon atoms. While you showed electricity passing through the graphite by using a 9 volt battery to light a LED that has a forward voltage requirement of 1.3 volts. True graphene has a resistance of around 1 ohm. Bet yours is in the hundred of Million Ohms if you put a meter on it.

      Graphene is way more durable when laid out on a 1 atom thick sheet. You can attempt to do this by using tape to gradually make the powder layer thinner and thinner.

    Is this graphene bulletproof? All you would have to do is pour over, say aluminum or even Kevlar and it’s be viable bulletproof material?

      It depends on how much powder you put in. You can make more through method one with an 8 to 1 gram ratio.

      The number would be in the decimals, but to keep it simple, I would use the 8 grams shown in the video. However, you can use a calculator to find the exact amount.

      yes, and if you choose to, you may be able to electrostatic coat the graphene onto any conductive surface if need be.

      We haven’t tested this method, but according to research, it should work. Just make sure to let the mixture completely dry out.

      According to an article written by a university, gall soap and fairy liquid are preferred because of how well they extract some properties and leave graphene behind. You can use about any kind of dish soap. However, I don’t think you can use anything else for the gall soap experiment.

    Pension graphite is not pure it contains clay as week so that isn’t 100% pure graphene but it’s still really cool you made any at all after all this stuff is stronger than diamonds do to the hexagonal form of the molecules inside

      simple and fast way use a 12v batter distilled water in a glass and rub together both pencil with 12v flowing through through let it dry and you got graphene..
      graphene atoms with electricity will detach from carbon atoms...thats MY best simple way to explain it without entering in science wold".

      those mad scientists that discovered graphene,they were pealing off graphene with dot tape.
      but the results gave the graphene was inpure coz contaminated with tape glue.

    But, graphite is also electrically conductive. You need to start with amorphous carbon, which isn't conductive. Then use the electrical test to prove graphene has been made. Amorphous carbon is easily made with sulfuric acid and sugar, then wash in neutralizer.

    If it is a graphene then it should be form of a sheet and not the powder. How you measured this as 1 atom thick layer of carbon. Graphite powder or rod shows similar conducting properties like graphene. There is no proof here that you have made graphene even if it is educational video. As you stated in one of the comments that using tape and tearing down each layer, you will see that tape is getting more and more transparent. So I assume it would be difficult to see or measure to confirm that it is graphene unless you have electron Microscope

    You have no proof that that is graphene, graphite looks the same as graphene and the chance of you blender perfectly cutting an atom in half is low enough that I believe you do not have graphene
    Edit: You could have just hid small wires between all of that

      Ok, this is not some “Industrial” process. And the blender is not used to cut the atoms. The soul purpose of the blender is to mix the soap and graphite. Plus, why would we hide the wire? This is an educational video, not some fake news source.
