The rumble scene was truly MAGICAL. The audience burst into applause for what felt like 5 minutes after it ended.
If this doesn’t win best choreography I will riot
If this show doesn’t win any Tony Awards, there’s gonna be some riots going on in the theater community for weeks on end

@@katiekat44 Illinoise is basically a ballet so the Choreography is one of the most important parts of the show that’s why it won that award

This work paid off so hard. I’ve never seen anything like this before on a live stage. So glad I was able to make it to a preview. Kudos to everyone involved, I was absolutely speechless. Easily near tops my Broadway experiences, and I’ve seen quite a few.

Would sell my soul to see this-The Outsiders is on of my favorite books and god do I wish I could afford to see this.
On wednesdays they're one of the cheapest tickets on Broadway. I've seen it twice now. Highly recommend
I was called back for a role in this when this was at La Jolla and I can tell you this choreography is no joke. its visceral and gritty yet beautiful and rhythmic. Seeing it all put together in the show was an amazing experience unlike anything I have ever done or seen.
It was unlike anything I've ever seen in my life. The show itself was so deeply moving and impactful but this scene, you can tell how thought through and perfected it is. I had chills the entire time and the audience erupted for 2 minutes afterwards.

definitely one of my favorite moments in the show!!! so beautifully done!!! as someone who loves the book and movie, the rumble was done justice 100000000% 💕
I saw it when it was here at the La Jolla Playhouse. The Rumble was definitely the most incredible fight sequence I'd ever seen!!!

the fact that this is eight minutes about an epic scene that is then never shown is suuuuch bullshit. what a messed up thing to do. and these multiple references it to being sensual are making me question the decisions.
It's not a messed up thing to do at all, it's called marketing and the fact that you're upset about not getting to see the final product means it worked like gangbusters.
They left you wanting more and that's the whole point of the video. Now they want you to buy a ticket so you can see the "epic rumble scene" in all its bloody and violent glory in the theatre.
They're certainly not gonna give it all away for free. It's pay for play on Broadway.
