    I'm really enjoying these tutorials. Have you ever done any chibi style models?

    • @Epicduck
      @Epicduck  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just a handful, and none of them in a tutorial yet... one of these days!

      @@Epicduck I'm about to start a project of chibi style comic superheroes. I'd love to see a tutorial on how to do that style!

    Another great paint job. Been using your work to help me get my way through my MCP core box. I’m curious how you’d do billowing capes (mainly Thor but also to less extent vision and star lord from MCP)

    How do I downplay the fact that his top looks like pajamas? The spider-gut that the rib creates is off putting to me, any tips?

    im surprised you didnt bust out the pen for all those lines. or a crash course in oil wash (seeing your lower comment you wouldnt do a mass wash and clean up, but just the magic touch it in one spot and watch it fill the crevice method)

      I honestly don't like using pens on minis, mostly because I find the tips on the pens wear out *really* fast. They do nice linework, but I've burned a $5 pen on a single model, not very economical. I've used Pigma Micron pens in the past with some success, but the tiny felt tip just erodes away too quickly.
      Some pens aren't archival quality inks either (I'm looking at you, Sharpie) and start to yellow/brown after a few years.
      The crevices aren't sharply defined like, say, a model plane kit's panel lines, so you wouldn't get sharp lining from the magic touch method - they'd have some natural feathering at the edges of each line, which takes away from the sharpness of the line work.
      Please believe that the choices I make are deliberate and not made out of ignorance ;)

    Lookin' good. Do you think a black oil wash would work well on all the super thin black lines?

    • @Epicduck
      @Epicduck  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes and no. It wouldn't in any way look like hand-drawn, sharp lines, like the ink lining does. But if you just want something to quickly shade the webbing without losing your mind, it would manage that well :)
