    You may find in a weakened state the em field allows solar plasma to make direct contact with the earth on the day side. I would certainly hope not but do we truly know how powerful these events can be and how much compression the field can withstand ? Especially if the field is weakining they say like 12 % or so already gone ?

    Great presentation!! you mentioned first principles, but blew past it so fast and didnt mention any insights that parker solar probe has given. Parker has changed estimates of temperature and solar winds, so much that i would imagine we are getting closer to building a sun simulator and predicting activity from that rather than some IR pictures. the IR pics you have may not actually be the source of the flares, but rather violent eruptions inside the core being projected out to the surface, much as we view volcanic behavior here on earth
