You know what - she actually took time to write back to me the very next day and it was a lovely email from her. I was amazed and touched to get a response and she is a lovely lady, and I cherish the email. I have a lot of her back catalogue now. Just because I did not to it here doesn't mean that I didn't do it at all. She didn't have to do that but I'm glad that she did. So, not only is she an incredible singer, but she also bothers to take time to write back to her fans. Perhaps you could do that yourself.
Each singer is different. I love Barbara Bonney but she’s not the only one to sing Mozart beautifully: Lucia Popp, Gundula Janowitz, Edita Gruberova Kathleen Battle for instance gave remarkable renditions of Mozart music.
@@oliviero.m750 Bonney has the best Mozartian technique. The rest of the singers you listed tend to “squeeze” on top. Bonney’s tops are as clear as a flute. And this is on top of having the smoothest legato.
Wow. This is beautiful. Also, this song was not written by Mozart. This was written by Jacobus Barbireau, in the year 1445. The 1400's! And it has lived on this long. Shame on Mozart for trying to take credit for this composition, because he did not write it, he just stole it from an ancient composer. It is gorgeous
