I just saw you commenting in a group on Facebook about switching to this from the GFA.... Great tie! I used the same dubbing on a different pattern. Do you still recommend the thread only on the smaller sizes? or do you use the dubbing on the smaller sizes as well?
It varies by color. On the pink ones for example I still use thread only, whereas on the mustard-yellow ones that were hot last season, I use brown stone SLF dubbing on all sizes. Some colors I do both.
If this works as well as the Bob's Hopper's we fished with last September, this should be a winner! Man, did I catch the Cutts, thanks to you, Walter.

Walter are you still tying small pink hoppers.
Yes. The #14 versions of the Bob Hoppers still use thread underbodies and the pink (and peach) are still generally the best colors.
