Warner Bros. Pictures presents “The Flash,” directed by Andy Muschietti (the “IT” films, “Mama”). Ezra Miller reprises their role as Barry Allen in the DC Super Hero’s first-ever standalone feature film.
Worlds collide in “The Flash” when Barry uses his superpowers to travel back in time in order to change the events of the past. But when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, Barry becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation, and there are no Super Heroes to turn to. That is, unless Barry can coax a very different Batman out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian… albeit not the one he’s looking for. Ultimately, to save the world that he is in and return to the future that he knows, Barry’s only hope is to race for his life. But will making the ultimate sacrifice be enough to reset the universe?

when the batwing slowly comes down in the Batcave with bats swirling all around, it almost turns that scene into some kind of alien horror for a second. Loved it!

I'm wondering if they're going with the story that Flash's backtrack causd ripples and sent KalEl's ship off course and she has been blaming herself and then zod. Then finds out Barry's messing with it means the person who she said she'd take care of died, when it should have been her.

Literally the very first DC movie I am excited to see in the theater
Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Ultimate Edition, Synder's Justice League, and Gunn's The Suicide Squad are honestly amongst my favorite movies of all time (notice I didn't say superhero movies). I even liked Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Black Adam, and Birds of Prey. I thought they were all great- I would probably consider them on par with the upper 50% of Marvel movies.
The reason everyone thinks the DC is so bad is because of these 3: Justice League (the original theatrical version), Ayer's Suicide Squad, and Wonder Woman 1984.
These were not not only the most terrible, but also the most anticipated movies in the DC lineup by far. Imagine if Marvel's Avengers had turned out to be hot garbage, and then 3 years later they release Avengers 2 which turns out to be even worse. I don't think Marvel would have survived. That's kind of in the place DC is now. It's honestly kind of sad because the movies I listed, don't even have to watched anymore because they've all been either remade or rebooted with infinitely better films. What remains is a great, borderline amazing group of films- which will undoubtedly be joined by the Flash which is already being called one of the greatest comic book movies of all time.
