Lebron’s longevity = Negligence of defense since his 30s + Taking more than 3 steps to ease pressure for ankle.

    The simple answer is, yes.
But the reason is more shocking... hes gonna milk this thing because he KNOWS... that once he retires, his "impact" will fade real fast and ppl will move on from his career faster than MJ's.

Im a kobe fan, but lets look at his last 6 seasons
    2011 swept in 2nd round
2012 gentleman swept in 2nd round
    2013 swept in first round
2014 only played 6 games, missed playoffs
2015 only played 35 games, missed playofs
    2016 missed playoffs.
The only hoghlights of his last 6 seasons were:
Passing Jordan on the all-time scoring list
Passing Jerry west to become second all time in laker assists
A 60 point game for his final game
Kobe's last 6 seasons were stat padding on average to below average teams. I expect lebron to retire in 2026, and his last 6 seasons will end up looking similar to kobe's last 6, except maybe less injuries

In 2011 and 2012 we were still top 3 in the western conference going for championships. We just faced two teams that were really good in those 2nd rounds. 2013 Kobe was still the best player in the league with Lebron, but because of the Achilles tear he didn't get a chance to play in the playoffs and maybe make a finals run

2013 Kobe got injured and wasnt a all star player after, the team wasnt built to win anymore, he was trying to pass jordan in the all time scoring list. I won't call it stat padding, when lebron was in kobe situation 2018-2019, the media made excuses and pressured the team to trade the young talent for superstar even though before Lebron's injury, they were a winning team.
Kobe in 2014-2016 is in the same scenario as Curry now, no is gonna making excuses or care that their teams are championship level.

I disagree with the Brady stuff. In 2006, Brady was 29 & he was already constantly compared to Montana similar to Manning being compared to Marino. The following season, after the trades for Moss & Welker, he threw 50td’s & 8 picks, with a 16-0 record, and at that point was 14-2 in the postseason. If the Pats beat the Giants with a great Brady performance , many were ready to proclaim him the Goat QB

Obviously he was good to get them but he wasn’t the key to those teams but man did he take those lessons and deliver later in his 30s and beyond with most of the legendary stuff happening after the ages of other greats being retired or physically not having much left in the tank

That was always my argument.... would you rather have a guy that gets you 6 championships in 13 years worth of games or a guy that gets you 4 in 20+ years.... regardless of longevity stats I think sports are about the impact that a player has on the game... getting a bunch of stats that don't lead to wins mean nothing. Ask Russell Westbrook.🤣🤣🤣 I remember Ron Mercer averaged over 20 points for the Bulls one year and he was in the papers talking about he had a good season and should've been an Allstar.... as the team didn't even win 20 games😂 .. safe the say he got traded that summer. Your personal numbers are never more important than team success. Lebron is a Stat padder not a winner, he had to team up with a winner (D. Wade) because he don't have that dog in him like the greats. Lebron aint even top 10 on my list, ion know how mfs got him over Kobe, Duncan, Magic, Bird, Russell and other mfs that dominated their peers rather than just getting their numbers
