With the RX8 he simply couldn't get the gear from 3 to 4, you can see the delay in the video. Either way, both of them are on the same level, so it doesn't really apply. A second test wouldn't have been bad 🤔🤨

Interesting. I’m surprised how much quicker the S2000 is than the RX-8. As a comparison check out my Golf Alltrack video, it’s just a 0-75mph (0-120km/h) run. With the stage 1 tune it puts out about 220HP and 300 ft-lbs (406Nm).

Probably mostly down to the weight differences, gearing looks about the same and the S2000 has a slight advantage due to VTEC VVT vs. well… no VVT.

@@__dm__ I did a run with my speedo set to Km/h from 0-160. It did 0-100 in 5.7 seconds and 0-160 in 15.3 seconds. So it got to 100 quicker by 1.3 seconds and to 160 just .2 second slower, which makes perfect sense since the Golf has AWD and a massive low end torque curve, but the HP tops out quite low, where the S2000 has half the torque at is peak (a fraction of the torque overall) but it’s peak HP is higher and the car is a lot lighter. A good illustration of torque vs HP, and how two cars with similar HP numbers but very different HP and torque curves will accelerate different off the line vs at the top end.

Yes if you dump the clutch at 6-7k rpm it can do under six and 0-100 in 14. There's so many tests showing these numbers. In the video, we see real world conditions. The magazines can afford to launch these cars hard.

S2000 stock 100-160 in 8 seconds is totally unrealistic. Should be more like 12.5 - same territory as the RX-8.

@@MrStealYourSoul69 Second one had too much slip, first one didn’t have enough. Both could have launched much better. Also the rotary driver mis shifted.
