    Skip--
I don't know if you read these--but even if you do not--I want to say THANK YOU for letting God be the direction you walk in. It is because of your walk, I myself am beginning to learn--the walk!
And while you may receive words like these from many people--I have to tell you---I have been a part of a Church for a little over 3 decades. And though I have earn of the basics of Christianity, and I knew in my soul that Christ was and is my Savior, I have not known it on the level I do now--because I follow through your teachings with the Book of Genesis and Exodus, and now through Leviticus. I have too long of a story to share, and too long to type it out, but I do have to tell you, The Church I was a part of, did not bear down to teach of these lessons. How sorrowful it is that The Body of Christ deprive itself of these very much needed gems.
Anyhow--Skip, (and to your staffs who keep up your youtube channel), thank you so much. I plan on diving deep into all 66 books of the Bible, as Skip expounds on the Word into my ears! If I ever had the opportunity to do so, I would love to pay your Church a visit one day---and shake your hand, so I can tell you, "Well done, Sir! Well done indeed!!!!

Hi @Tom W, Thank you for writing in with encouragement. My name is Mat Griego and I serve as one of the pastors at Calvary Church. Thank you for making the time to let us know that the ministry our team gives our lives to accomplish is making an impact for you. It encourages us in our work. I will also be sharing this with our staff and Pastor Skip.
Keep going and keep growing. I encourage you to consider starting a small group where you are with people you know. Perhaps you can watch the message together, discuss the together, and maybe even eat together. Many of Pastor Skip’s series have groups discussion outlines included with the message. The Bible from 30,000 Feet has a work book that accompanies and compliments the teaching series and book.
“I am convinced and confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will [continue to] perfect and complete it until the day of Christ Jesus [the time of His return].” Philippians 1:6

I've never read Leviticus. I finally took the plunge. I'm learning so much about the heart of God and how he wants to be worshipped. ❤ Thank you all at Calvary Albuquerque. Your prayers 🙏 are being answered. The Word is being spread. Because I am learning so much the Holy Spirit is filling my cup with so much living water it's literally spilling over. I can see with my eyes and my discernment that the people around me are being touched and changed.
    Thank you Lord Jesus

A sacrifice of praise is praise when the trial is rough, the hardest thing for me to do. I always fall to complaining and murmuring. I love psalm 1 memorizing verses and some whole chapters. Am I too critical. I need to persevere no matter what. Pray that I don't become weary and cast all my cares upon Jesus.

At around the 37 minute mark Pastor Skip tells us the the Hebrew word for meditate is the same as chew the cud. Would it be possible to get a refference for that?
In Levi 11 the Hebrew word for chew is 'ala' and the word for cud is 'gera'.
In Gen. 24:63 when Issac meditated the Hebrew word is 'suwach'. I searched "meditate" throughout the OT and in most cases 'suwach' or a derivation is used. I couldnt find anything close to 'suwach'.
I'm not trying to poke holes in Skip's sermon. I want this to be true but before I can share this pearl of wisdom I have to be able to give a verse for an example. I'm sure Skip would agree.

I believe he is referring to the meaning supplied by the Hebrew alphabet pictographs. The early Hebrew alphabet used pictures for letters, and each picture had meaning. The word meditate (Ps 1:2) is formed from the root letters "Hey," "Gimel," and "Hey." The symbol for "Hey" looks like a person seeing something, or "beholding" something. The symbol for "Gimel" is said to represent a camel, which regurgitates its food, along with the idea of "lifting up." So those three letters would communicate the idea of beholding, then lifting up, then beholding, which correlates to a ruminant animal regurgitating and chewing its cud.

Good evening, Skip! Still following along here from snowy Kentucky, and I look forward to your voice explaining the Bible to me every single day for at least one sermon. If I could take a photo of my bible and share it here, I would. It's definitely getting broken in with all the notes! I tend to follow along from my CSB, which is the easiest one for me to read, but it's safe to say that isn't the translation you're using. Do you read from the NKJV in this series or something else?
    God bless.
