Can confirm, i joined the rabbit hole at the start of the "FBK memes" batch and the average sub count raised from circa 200k to 700k for Fubuki followed by many others around 500k, then covid happened and the fanbase growth skyrocketed
@@axy8265 I thinking about drama too, since Hololive boldly jump off C-market debut EN it actually shanked many people mind than giving them support. that time when im see them got straight bullied but can do nothing only watch all members straggler with spammers for year before everything got batter
My first introduction to hololive was listening to Fubuki's scatman on a Twitch stream. I was so captivated I immediately began frantically looking for who made it.
hololive have traveled a long and and unforgettable path. Tracing its light through time and thanks to all the first holomem to have keep hololive going on til this glory I was a fan of hololive for only a few months and i have missed countlessly lots. But thanks to those who kept the past clips I was able to see how hololive from out of no where to become the biggest vtuber community ever
For me Fubuki has always been a mysterious character. We will never know which is real shirakami. She can be the nerd introvert that will explain their fetishes She can be the girlfriend that meet your ideal She can be the emotionless medium of Hololive like how she comfort everyone during coco and rushia graduation She can be the hero who save other like how nonchalantly she brushed off chinese and holostar hater But in the end none of that matter. Even if Fubuki is only a form of acting. The only thing we know for sure is she loves streaming, sukonbu, and hololive more than anyone else.
If Sora is the face of hololive and Pekora is the mascot of hololive, then Fubuki is the heart of hololive.. She have done more than a mere talent should do for the company
Aside from Sora who was the Foundation, Fubuki is the spirit and core of Hololive. She is essentially the 2nd protag of Hololive. Who built its success and culture. She is also a professional, mature and very outspoken over the injustice within the community, she does things such as trolling obsessive Gachikois by saying "she has a boyfriend", collabing with holostars and supporting them, standing up for Coco during the "incident", and is very supportive of everyone in Hololive Productions. Over the couple of years of watching hololive, I have nothing but respect for hololive's number 1 friend.
lol why do you always leave Roboco aside? she was there for the first year, and worked a lot when it was just her and Sora. And you always forget about her.
I’m really a sucker for these comeup stories. Helps me realize that none of my dreams are too ambitious when I hear stuff like this. That empires start from small, humble beginnings. Stuff like going from running business out of somebody’s shabby garage to being a multinational megacorporation or something. Anybody can get it so long as you got the drive for the vision. It’s a long and hard path, no doubt, nobody said it wasn’t. But you just gotta love it harder.
Also you have to get mega lucky and have a FUCKTON of support. No one succeeds alone, everyone has support, whether personal or professional. And it takes a lot of luck to succeed. Hololive could have died pretty easily or stagnated really early on if a few random events hadn’t hapened.
"Originally it wasn't a company for managing idols" "Eh? It is now?" is the first thing that appeared in my mind I can't imagine what Fubuki and fellow gen 1 are feeling. Imagine being a pioneer, the one who started when they're nothing and barely anyone knows them, and following through each and every step of this 4 years, until they become one of the biggest company in the industry. All kinds of emotions must be mixing together
Fubuki was actually how I discovered Hololive, and I joined at a time when Fubuki was still by easily the most subscribed member, so to me she's always kind of had this mascot/legend status among hololive. Even after all this time, after everything that has happened, it seems like her spirit has barely wavered. Probably the vtuber I respect the most
Hololive has come far. There were mistakes (Bad ones at times) and no company will EVER be perfect, but you can't sit here and deny that Cover has improved DRASTICALLY in terms of supporting the girls. I always look at how cover has handled the breaks as of late. From about 2021 onward, Cover has become far more okay with the girls and boys just simply taking a break. Shion is a great example of how she was allowed to take as much time as she needed to recover mentally, SAME with Haachama and many others. Korone and Ina are both taking recharge breaks and Suisei is just on the end of her month long one. Cover has created a place for the girls and Boys to grow into the talents they are Then we have the talents, Fubuki being a prime example of someone who has grown into a leader. I am always taken back by just how professional she is. It isn't her towing the company line, but it is her understanding that hey, i am a face of this company, i need to hold myself to a standard. I'll always go back to how she handled the Rushia news and how she talked about it. Straight and to the point. Plus to anyone who said oh she was heartless, we saw how much she wanted Rushia to be there during her day 2 watch-along, it's just she understands how to handle herself and how to be essentially the face of Hololive to me. I will always respect her for all she does. I can't wait to see how her 5th year turns out
Not just her though. Even friend A also want to keep rushia. I know cover sometime make mistake. They aren't perfect but they try to improve. If people tell like they should do this and that then they should just apply it and if they can or know how to handle well in that situation. It aren't easy if we been on their situation They always been lenient toward talent can take a break. Unlike talent who recently debut. Sometime the talent itself worry if they lose fans or something like that
@@Moltenlava it makes you wonder though, was the internal atmosphere at Cover a healthy and encouraging one back then, enough to alleviate concerns about breaks and work environment. it's definitely been the result of fan demands that the talents are taking more breaks, whichever set of ears may be listening.
@@Moltenlava to an extent. For the beginning they were more strict, you have to stream at least 3 times a week and what not. They are have for sure been one of the more lenient companies when it comes to letting their people take breaks But we also have to remember, this isn't just a week off at times. Sometimes it's a month or two and that impresses me. It shows me that they understand the talents have issues be it mental or physical and it takes time. That's what impresses me, they have every right to say no you can only take X amount off but they seem to be very ok with talent taking the time they need
@@duster4441001 I mean every single talent will worry what happens if i take to much time off but that isn't just a hololive thing. That is a youtuber/streamer thing. And with the rushia situation, i think it shows that what she did was just to much to ignore with say a suspension. It sucks, it hurts but you can't just ignore it for the sake of lets keep everything A-ok in a sense. Ayame losing her duet and mc part in FES hurt though
MENTAL! PHYSICAL! FUBUKI! truly hope nothing but the best for her and her work, also seeing that she put a lot of pressure on herself to keep the industry alive I hope she doesn't over exert and get burnt out
these past couple years, i've seen so many posts and comments talking about quite how much fubuki has done for hololive and appreciating how she's always been the glue holding hololive together. others have brought great attention to hololive and paved the way for its success, but fubuki has always been there, bolstering everyone, hololive, your oshi up. she's been nothing but an unrelenting, grounding rock for our idols to rely on. i urge you to take this anniversary to appreciate our favorite fox girl and read up on all she's done for and the effects she's had on hololive, because the list is long. this girl loves and cares so deeply about this company, her fellow idols, and being a vtuber, and it's evident, strewn throughout her activities and everything she does.
I still remember her saying "as long as I am here and have nothing bad to say you can trust hololive" I admire what she does, the oversleep counting streams, the meme streams like digging a hole or just being on of the first members to interact with holostars and the en fans
@@xcaptcha3551 Im not sure, but perhaps he refers to V-Ani event, which one of Indonesia Vtubers, Maya collab with Fubuki. It might triggers the ID branch, though I dont remember when ID branch debuted.
i think fubuki collab has little to do with that, its not really like coco pushing and showing the EN market to the company, aint in indonesia there is already jp anime culture and there also idol like jkt48 so they probably already target them for expansion as they were also target cn market before, basically because those countries already familiar with jp culture
fubuki really admirable... one of the hard working member to the point where she stream continuously for a year nonstop till her manager forced her to take a break one time ( I think it was last year or the year before )...
Thanks for this longer than usual clip. It really tells about the past of Hololive and what they have been through and how they grew together as a company and as individuals. I will always remember Fubuki's declaration that as long as she is here, Hololive will be a good company that cares about their talents back when all the drama was happening and people were flaming the company. With this clip, knowing how she really grew with the company and truely cares about her fellow friends and holomems, I know I can trust that as long as she remains in Hololive, Hololive will be a company worth supporting for what they do.
God, Fubuki just laying it all out from when she started and to how big the company has grown makes one really think about time and how much Hololive has grown.
Thank you for translating this. I started watching Fubuki when she had been streaming for about 6-8 months, I was mostly interested in the technology. There were some tough times, it seemed like she was taking on a lot of the pressure herself. Even though she still does this and wears a strong face it's nice to know that she is in a more comfortable position.
Brings a tear to my eye I personally don't watch Fubuki but the amount of shit she has consistently been able to put up with while maintaining herself is something that I cannot help but respect.
She a tough foxcat ! Her mental is strong, i really admire her ! She was always publicy supporting other Holomember and Hololive, no matter what happends. When she was the biggest one in Hololive, she keeps humble and even advertise for other. When she was the target of antis, she was still being cheerfull on stream. Really, respect, cause that ask a lot of mental and self control.
I really went from "argh, it's ASMR" to "argh, I'm tearing up" in nine and a half minutes.😅 They have been through so much, and they will go through more in the future. They will persevere, and we will watch over them supporting them all the way. At least I hope to do so. Goddamn idk what to say, I'm just glad I found Hololive. 😭
now that she mentioned it, we indeed have come from a very long journey... I used to not know what hololive is, but smh, I instead know sora when she wasn't in her current costume. Now we have like, 6 generations of JP members, 2 generations of EN members and 3 generations of ID members.
"As long as I'm here, you can trust Cover and Hololive. By the time I quit, then that's when Cover and Hololive cannot be trusted anymore." I'll always remember this word from FBKing.

I'm proud to be here.. Really wholesome long journey to meet vtuber specially hololive for me at 2017 (i didn't know hololive is a things back then), i know Kizuna Ai and the other daisenpai.. But i watch them like i watch the other youtuber that i always watch.. Back in 2019 it's really depressing time for me, a lot happen and idk what i'm going to do anymore.. On 15 march holoID gen 1 debuted, thats start turn my day a lot better.. At that moment i found and realize fubuki is also the one of hololive member, JP branch.. And the rest is history hololive really have special place in my heart.. theres have incredible, awesome, wholesome, support, inspiration, cool, sweet, kindes, lovely, memes, joke, expressive, fun, hardworking, and best people in it (i cant describe it 😂 lol.. Thanks for this clip Yura! I think everyone here in the comment section already said what I wanted to say, so I don't really have anything to add, but it's just so nice to have someone like Fubuki in Hololive, to be there for the Holomembers AND for the fans, when she hosted streams and calmed us down during Coco's graduation announcement and Rushia's termination incident.
Oh hey, I found this clip. Thanks TH-cam. My take huh.. April 2023 at the time of this writing. The current Fubuki is really, really busy, but she never stopped with the meme. Last week she made meme with Mio's taiga, within 5 minutes. The community changed a lot during the last two years, but I guess, we're back to our starting point again : Small, but cozy community. Most of us now understands JP, being her fan for almost 2 years. She matured a lot. Just like Matsuri. Some say she's boring now, well.. maybe. Not as explosive as she was, but maybe this is the way going forward. Steady stream over many years, and some memes along the way. Love you 1 million! Many thanks for the clip!
I feel the same every year. There's always that feeling where you want to look back and say "Wow, they've really grown big now". I'm glad that I get to witness how they've grown and how strong they became. It was a rocky road but they made it! They made my dream come true haha! That dream of being able to watch a story unfold right in front you everyday. Special thanks for you guys who do your best to translate the clips and vids so that we can continue following them despite not understanding Japanese and Indonesian language. I didn't even think that I'll be sitting here typing this comment here haha. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Watch this makes me remember when the first time i watch Hololive was from 3rd gen debut stream man good old days back then Now Hololive has become big company, and the problem are more more big like haters etc big power need more big responsibility to take
Fubuki, the pioneers of Hololive and Cover Corporation, first VTuber Generation of Hololive, four years of a journey that begann little and now its a big company. And she is still a big part in her role. I hope and wish, that she does many more years on Hololive.
Well there is a readon that I will always consider Fubuki to be the defacto leader of Hololive, between this clip and the one where she passed Sora in subs.
Fubuki are the one who help tank hater in many case since Towa, Coco, support other members when they needed. here she even got alot spam and hate mail. that why she can't open comment section for like a year? She might not on center spotlight but I always give her respect the most.
To me Fubuki will always be amongst the top of the girls of hololive, she`s done so much and worked so hard to help hololive gain popularity and deal with the massive boom basically by herself for a long time before the others slowly but surely were able to carry that with her. It`ll truly be amongst the saddest day when she eventually leaves Hololive, but not without a grand bittersweet departure for sure.
Bless Fubuki for continuing as one of the pillars of Hololive.
Bringing out the words i wanted to say straight from my mouth.
And bless all the pillar fans and clippers of the vtuber industry for the supports on its early days.

-Christmas Miracle
-Golden Generation
-Azur Lane Collab
-AsaCoco Live
-Scatman, Miko GTA, etc.
hololive have traveled a long and and unforgettable path. Tracing its light through time and thanks to all the first holomem to have keep hololive going on til this glory
I was a fan of hololive for only a few months and i have missed countlessly lots. But thanks to those who kept the past clips I was able to see how hololive from out of no where to become the biggest vtuber community ever
Hearing Fubuki talk about this really warms the heart.
For me Fubuki has always been a mysterious character. We will never know which is real shirakami.
She can be the nerd introvert that will explain their fetishes
She can be the girlfriend that meet your ideal
She can be the emotionless medium of Hololive like how she comfort everyone during coco and rushia graduation
She can be the hero who save other like how nonchalantly she brushed off chinese and holostar hater
But in the end none of that matter. Even if Fubuki is only a form of acting. The only thing we know for sure is she loves streaming, sukonbu, and hololive more than anyone else.
A lot of people doesn't know how important Fubuki and other member from early days influence has come to this age.
If Sora is the face of hololive and Pekora is the mascot of hololive, then Fubuki is the heart of hololive.. She have done more than a mere talent should do for the company
Subaru the sun
Miko the soul

Aside from Sora who was the Foundation, Fubuki is the spirit and core of Hololive. She is essentially the 2nd protag of Hololive. Who built its success and culture. She is also a professional, mature and very outspoken over the injustice within the community, she does things such as trolling obsessive Gachikois by saying "she has a boyfriend", collabing with holostars and supporting them, standing up for Coco during the "incident", and is very supportive of everyone in Hololive Productions. Over the couple of years of watching hololive, I have nothing but respect for hololive's number 1 friend.
Best friend
Couldnt have said it better👏👏👏
lol why do you always leave Roboco aside? she was there for the first year, and worked a lot when it was just her and Sora. And you always forget about her.
@@JdsGaara because she not part of content right now? Or you want bring fight for fubuki and roboco fanbase fight each other?
"Originally it wasn't a company for managing idols"
"Eh? It is now?" is the first thing that appeared in my mind
I can't imagine what Fubuki and fellow gen 1 are feeling. Imagine being a pioneer, the one who started when they're nothing and barely anyone knows them, and following through each and every step of this 4 years, until they become one of the biggest company in the industry. All kinds of emotions must be mixing together
Even gen 0 like sora been through alot. Sora the 1st idol exist in hololive.
Fubuki always gives me the feel that if Yagoo retire, she would take the lead. She's experienced and always here to support her kouhais.
Cover has created a place for the girls and Boys to grow into the talents they are
Then we have the talents, Fubuki being a prime example of someone who has grown into a leader.
I can't wait to see how her 5th year turns out
I think cover has always been lenient with the breaks, its the talents themselves who did not take the initiative and take some time off
Not just her though. Even friend A also want to keep rushia. I know cover sometime make mistake. They aren't perfect but they try to improve. If people tell like they should do this and that then they should just apply it and if they can or know how to handle well in that situation. It aren't easy if we been on their situation
They always been lenient toward talent can take a break.
They are have for sure been one of the more lenient companies when it comes to letting their people take breaks
But we also have to remember, this isn't just a week off at times.
One of the pillar Fubuking 🤘
This is just too touching and wholesome, I wish things would stay like that for a long time.
MENTAL! PHYSICAL! FUBUKI!
truly hope nothing but the best for her and her work, also seeing that she put a lot of pressure on herself to keep the industry alive I hope she doesn't over exert and get burnt out
these past couple years, i've seen so many posts and comments talking about quite how much fubuki has done for hololive and appreciating how she's always been the glue holding hololive together. others have brought great attention to hololive and paved the way for its success, but fubuki has always been there, bolstering everyone, hololive, your oshi up. she's been nothing but an unrelenting, grounding rock for our idols to rely on. i urge you to take this anniversary to appreciate our favorite fox girl and read up on all she's done for and the effects she's had on hololive, because the list is long. this girl loves and cares so deeply about this company, her fellow idols, and being a vtuber, and it's evident, strewn throughout her activities and everything she does.
Blessed Yura for the clip, Fubuki's one of my most admired and want-to-support after Ui-sensei...
Thank you! And will always support Friendz!
I still remember her saying "as long as I am here and have nothing bad to say you can trust hololive"
I admire what she does, the oversleep counting streams, the meme streams like digging a hole or just being on of the first members to interact with holostars and the en fans
For those that didn't know, fubuki is also the reason Hololive ID exist
how? could you give explanation or resource i can read?
@@xcaptcha3551 Im not sure, but perhaps he refers to V-Ani event, which one of Indonesia Vtubers, Maya collab with Fubuki. It might triggers the ID branch, though I dont remember when ID branch debuted.
@@western_gunner It was March 2020, I think
@@western_gunner Yeah I believe in that, the fact that one of ID Vtuber Did a 3D Collab with fubuki 2 years ago is insane
i think fubuki collab has little to do with that, its not really like coco pushing and showing the EN market to the company, aint in indonesia there is already jp anime culture and there also idol like jkt48 so they probably already target them for expansion as they were also target cn market before, basically because those countries already familiar with jp culture
Im glad i was born at the bibically correct timeline. Hololive sure is amazing. It gives so much people energy to push through their day.
Definitely an inspiring and wonderful story, this dream of Yagoo.
The story of a fox who’d play games all day if you let her becoming a worldwide idol through hard work, luck and pure meme-ery
(don't cry old man, you're watching a clip... don't cry...)
fubuki really admirable... one of the hard working member to the point where she stream continuously for a year nonstop till her manager forced her to take a break one time ( I think it was last year or the year before )...
Very interesting, thank you for translating
Thanks for this longer than usual clip.
It really tells about the past of Hololive and what they have been through and how they grew together as a company and as individuals. I will always remember Fubuki's declaration that as long as she is here, Hololive will be a good company that cares about their talents back when all the drama was happening and people were flaming the company. With this clip, knowing how she really grew with the company and truely cares about her fellow friends and holomems, I know I can trust that as long as she remains in Hololive, Hololive will be a company worth supporting for what they do.
God, Fubuki just laying it all out from when she started and to how big the company has grown makes one really think about time and how much Hololive has grown.
fubuki remains as a strength of hololive.
Brings a tear to my eye
I personally don't watch Fubuki but the amount of shit she has consistently been able to put up with while maintaining herself is something that I cannot help but respect.
Yura.. no way that you dropped this clip during 1st gen anniversary week.. you're making us cry
It's great to see her excited to continue this journey. It's a pleasure to be there supporting her.
she has been thru alot in the last two years, her mental strength is too strong, and has a big heart.

Fubuki's great power for her great Hololive responsibility! YAGOO will not be let down.
Ah yes Hololive History, I got in the rabbit hole by single video by random recommendation of anime fox girl doing i'm scatman cover, others by shrine maiden gamer word or anime girl with bandaid
The sheer of will Fubuking own is admirable
Even if I don't normally gravitate towards her content, Fubuki still has my respect as the pillar of Hololive. Thank you for my first year in the rabbit hole, friend.
I cried when hear this from fubuki and i think i must aim higher and motivate myself more... fubuki is really really amazing person and already one of pillar holomember. I really glad found hololive, sometimes there is moment you just simp them but also at same time there is wholesome moment and many of us being helped from them in any form.
And the rest is history

As expected from Shirakami "The Pillar of Hololive" Fubuki
I feel the same every year. There's always that feeling where you want to look back and say "Wow, they've really grown big now". I'm glad that I get to witness how they've grown and how strong they became. It was a rocky road but they made it!
They made my dream come true haha! That dream of being able to watch a story unfold right in front you everyday.
Special thanks for you guys who do your best to translate the clips and vids so that we can continue following them despite not understanding Japanese and Indonesian language.

Yare!
Tonikaku Yare!
