I grew up in Chicago but I grew up on the McKinley Park area but I have been around this area for a long time my sister-in-law lives somewhere up here I have moved out for my kids safety to the suburbs were in a better area.
Used to be a middle eastern gang called Assyrian Eagles just a few blocks from there. Also, Leland and Troy was Flip City Crowns (Filipino Latin Kings). Crazy Mike from Flip City was a good friend of mine back in the day. Familia Stones got along with LKs back then but they were further down by Montrose. I also dated a gírl that lived a block from LKst for about a year. So this does bring back positive memories from back then.
I want the Roosevelt high School 2 back in the late 70s on Kimball off of Wilson used to live on Montrose and Albany I remember the Latin Kings back then in the early eighties nineties the whole neighborhood has changed now the Kings we used to know were cool as hell they used to hang by Troy and Montrose over by our Lady of Mercy Church which is still there we were just little kids back then but they treated us with respect as we treated them the same way
