I am a 67 year old power lifter and fitness trainer and I have been working out since I was 15 years old and I still work out 4 times a week. I eat 3 dates every time before I go to the gym the dates give me a lot of strength, sometimes I exercise for 2 to 3 hours and I don't even get tired. When I eat dates, I brush my teeth immediately. I don't eat sugar and trans fat, I eat natural sugar from nature honey, stevia and fruits dates and dark chocolate with stevia. I learned to eat dates from the Muslim, that's why I eat 3 dates. I've been eating dates for over 40 years, I don't have diabetes and I'm completely healthy. I see kids eating too much sugar and trans fat that is very dangerous, some young people have diabetes as early as 16 years old and dangerous for hart problems and stroke.

I find your post distracting and annoying; probably you just have a need for likes. Take time to self educate by cross referencing say all that’s stated in this video with Mayo Clinic online or other high level medical sites. I find it funny you think doctors know anything about nutrition unless they have extra training qualifications and are now “functional medical physicians.” This video is very on target in its “education” so you’re either an annoying bot, or just dim.

Doctor’s generally do not know anything about nutrition. They are still recommending a low fat diet, and that diabetics drink orange juice. Instead use discernment. These are very straight forwards tips, such as don’t eat too much sugar. You don’t need a doctor to figure that out.

In the early twenties of last century Arab gulf population started eating western diets and almost quit eating dates, which was their major food staple for hundreds of years, as a result they started having cancers - which was non existent. So dates are very very healthy. However, it is advisable to rinse them well prior to consumption to remove any added preservatives.

    Dates are a low-glycemic index
(GI) food, meaning they are unlikely to cause a dramatic spike in blood sugar levels when eaten in moderation
. A 24 g dried, pitted Medjool date contains 16 g of sugar, but the fiber in dates may help the body absorb carbohydrates slowly.

Thank you so much for this very informative video. I like dates. Yesterday, i was greedy, and i had up to 15 dates after 3 weeks of not having any.
I am 71 and have OA in my right knee and i don't take anything sweet normally, because a few years ago the Lord told me, after i prayed for healing, to cut out sugar. When i did, i noticed my knee pain and stiffness disappeared. I was obedient and in 1 year i lost 11kg - 24lbs. I cheated a few times and pain and stiffness came back. Normally i don't take anything sweet, except fruit.
After having 15 dates during the day, hours later during the night i developed terrible pain and stiffness and it kept me awake. Agony all day today esp when walking.
I thought dates would be ok since they are fruit. Obviously i overdid it.
My sister 3 yrs older doesn't have a problem with sugar and pain, but she doesn't have OA.
One of your viewrs is 77 and said he had no problem climbing stairs. Obviously it's individual. We react differently to things.
I watched a video by a doctor who explained how bad sugar is for our joints. He said sugar produces fibrin in synovial fluid and that's what causes pain and stiffness.
I told my doctors about it and they said they had never heard of it.

    My wife had diabetes
She got it reversed in a naturopathy centre Morning breakfast 3 different types of fruits + 3 dates. Lunch cooked vegetables + salad dinner fruits + 3 dates. + in between some juices 3 times every day. Medicine stopped in 7 days For 3 days sugar levels increased to 160. Then it reduced gradually. After 14 days her sugar levels were below 120. She was discharged after 21 days. No diabetes now.
