Lightning can travel along old metal pipes into a house. Lightning struck my back lawn, knocked the power out. At the same time my kitchen lit up bright blue and sounded like a jumbo ark welder going off in my sink. The lightning came out of my kitchen tap. I jumped up, tripped over my coffee table and my girlfriend in bed thought id been electrocuted 😂. I was hopping around in the dark swearing. Now all my mains pipes are thick plastic plumbing pipes. Its rare, but can happen

If you have an old landline, then lightening can travel along it. A person told me all about it. Back when landlines were poplar, it went into a round, metal pole that had all of the landlines in it. It hit that one landline that he was connected to it then it traveled all the way back to his house.
