an addendum:
the mod *technically* allows vacation hood hospitals to exist. the doctor needs to be on the lot to cure your sim of sunburn instantly. the only problem is that he spawns into the lot whenever he wants so... it's not consistent and you can spend a lot of time just waiting. hence, i didn't include it in the vid.
Chris Hatch original notes explain what set by objects do. Unfortunately the original website shut down and all the notes got scrambled.
Fleur bud vase reserves bed for your own playable sims. Chess will allows elders to come, pinball machine will allow teens, toybox allows kids etc. It's just another way to control sim selection. To get two security guards you add more than 12 windows. If one of your sims works as a chef they will come and cook.
For those having trouble with the Community Time Mod, Chris has a version updated upto Appartment life that should work with his hospital mod. It also has additional features like visit friends, a merola's time clock, to slow things down.
Thank you for making this! I'd heard about this mod before but had no idea how it actually worked, so it was great seeing the actual set up and gameplay of it. It seems very complex, but you explained it in such a comprehensive way that it all made sense ❤

Wow! Thanks so much for this detailed explanation. I have using this mod off and on for a the last year or so and I was putting the vase of flowers in all my rooms and was wondering who townies were taking my Sims' bed! Thanks to you, I now know why. I also experimented with the hospital on a Sim-owned community lot and it still worked but the Doctor NPC didn't turn up but the nurses still. Though I not using it had the moment as my Sims were getting lost on the way back from hospital, this may be cause of the clash with the Community Time Mod.
woah i didn't know you could have the hospital be an owned lot! that's so interesting. i was thinking of using a simlogical's lot rights mod to 'own' the hospital, but i haven't tested that out yet.
and, yeah, I'm not sure what about the mod doesn't play nicely with community time but i feel like deleting sims and spawning them back is a pretty easy workaround
first time hearing about this mod, thanks for showing it off! I love the idea of a maternity hospital so no more having at home births

yea! i saw a snippet of the mod in a chocolate city stream on twitch and was just so intrigued. so i started messing around with it and it's really cool. i'd love to see more people using this mod!

There is also a Midwife Mod by Chris Hatch, which I think is independent of this mod, but can be used with it. I can never get it to work though. Have you tried it?

i think not, unfortunately. like i said in the video, nervous left the house at 9am and returned to the house at 9am; even though he spent hours at the hospital lot. maybe load orders would affect it? but i haven't had much luck
