One of the biggest gags of this episode is that everyone was trying undermine Hope's ability as a vampire as if her most of her family weren't the original vampire family. Even if the Carney didn't know it was still hilarious to hear those words knowing something he didn't.
EDIT: Just found out that Maya and her mom's new house is Hayley's old safehouse in season 4 of the Originals. Like I knew I recognized it 😂

I feel like Lizzie's the reason Hope's humanity is slowly turning back on. Other then Landon, the only people who have enough effect on her emotionally to have the power to put it back on is her family. But she pushed away everyone, as they had power over her, except for Lizzie, because Hope's power over her due to the sirebond gives her a sense of security that Lizzie won't pull shit even though she actually is influencing Hope. Like lots of characters have pointed out before, Alaric and his family have been the closest thing to a family Hope has now (as in mom-dad-sibling type of family and not extended members like aunts), and the scene where they're high and create the panda promise did showcase a parallel to Always&Forever. We know from the Mikaelson siblings, that whilst Elijah was self-sacrificing, Rebekah is the one who stayed at Klaus' side the most during the 1000 years they lived and this was partially due to the power he had over his sister (the daggers, VS the sirebond?). Now, other then the appearance, personality-wise Lizzie and Josie do share traits with Rebekah and Elijah respectively. I definitely feel like Lizzie pulling a Rebekah is saving Hope.

Cleo situation reminds me of Bonnie but Hope in the first two seasons too. Hope was also always the one to sacrifice herself and her happiness for the greater good but I think people always forget that bc she snapped in s3.
