When I started forging about 20 years ago, bought the basic Craftsman angle grinder. First one broke just before the end of the warranty, second one in 2 months and third just over the warranty.
Problem is Craftsman no longer produces many of the tools they once did. Try getting warranty coverage on a 42952 long handle 6mm x 8mm box end wrench. They sent me a 8mm ratcheting wrench. Ditto with the open end standard length. They sent me an ignition wrench set. We all know how many times we have reached for those in the past 30 years.
Good video, however, I have tried recently and they make it impossible to fill out the request without knowing information that you can't find on the tool. Can you tell me where you found the link on the site to send the pictures? Thanks
This is the site, on a desk top a little chat window opens on the bottom right, I talked to that then emailed the email they emailed me from! www.craftsman.com/pages/warranty?srsltid=AfmBOorOF5J5GMKIw6cs58-OT_kSaIUOCIvRM95ItFuvbluP9dsja4LS
Also im about to leave that fb group. Im getting tired of how money hungry they are, how much is my dead grandpas tools worth??? Not much, they’re craftsman not snap on.why do you just cherish your grandpas tools or idk maybe use them?
I left that group months ago, and I had a blow out with one of the moderators. They are a bunch of whiners that have no clue what they are talking about. There is much more knowledge on some of the web pages instead.

If you care to know. The same company that owns craftsman also owns; dewalt, porter cable and 1 or 2 or or 3 other tool brands.
Just fyi, no diggty.🙂
Yeah it's Stanley Black & Decker now. It's definitely not the Craftsman of my youth but still decent.
@@VooDooTennessee Same. I think you and ! are about the same age.

Did you have to send in your old tools or did you only send pictures and model numbers?
Just pictures and model #s, I did this with the old driver, th-cam.com/users/shorts6Hh3MAqYFpQ
We call them flush cutters
Flush Cutters are a completely different cutting tool than diagonal cutters. Do some research.

Just a not,if you are hammering a roll pin,pew pew or otherwise it is the wrong size!
Tapping is what I should have said, I use a 4oz hammer. So rest easy.
