Basado en el libro Sin novedad en el frente.
Hechos ocurridos en la Primera Guerra Mundial 1914-1918.
El último Ejército Prusiano del mundo está en Chile. En 1896 el Ejército de Chile fue reorganizado después de triunfar en la Guerra contra Perú y Bolivia(Guerra del Pacífico), por el Oficial Prusiano Emilio Kerner, compañero de curso del gran Otto Von Bismarck. Emilio Kerner alcanzó el grado de General de Ejército en Chile y fue Comandante en Jefe del Ejército Chileno. Está sepultado en Prusia, Alemania.
Actualmente Chile sigue usando el mismo uniforme y las mismas marchas militares.

Im Jahr 1896 wurde die chilenische Armee reorganisiert, nachdem sie im Krieg gegen Peru und Bolivien (Pacific Krieg), durch den preußischen Offizier Emilio Kerner, Mitschüler des großen Otto von Bismarck zu triumphieren. Emilio Kerner erreichte den Rang eines General der Armee in Chile und war Oberbefehlshaber der chilenischen Armee. Er ist in Preußen, Deutschland begraben.
Derzeit setzt Chile die gleiche Uniform und die gleichen Militärmärsche zu verwenden.
The last Prussian Army in the world is in Chile. In 1896 the Army of Chile was reorganized after triumphing in the War against Peru and Bolivia (War of the Pacific), by the Prussian Officer Emilio Kerner, companion of course of the great Otto Von Bismarck. Based on the famous book "Im Westen nichts neues ". Despite being made in the middle of the Cold war and having so many American actors the whole film was filmed in Barrandov Studios in Praha (Prague)

After the War as a little Girl she remembered only hunger , and hardship . She and her Husband both loved England , and were very generous and kind to my Family in later life . I miss her terribly , this is the first Christmas after the death of Helga Schumann ,a daughter of Post War Germany , and of her beloved Frankfurt . She died knowing that the Germans under that Woman 'die cu' Merkel , had destroyed Germany , and in particular the Frankfurt I remember when I was young . Please Germany listen . The British are your friends , you are our closest Blood relatives . Despite 2 world wars , we need you to be strong , and back to your old selves . A strong Christian Germany . For Helga , and for all those of my Generation born just after the War . We need to build a Strong Free Respectful Europe , not born out of the Corruption of Junkers & Company . The EU and their cohorts have never passed an Audit , so massive is the level of corruption . This is not the British way , and it is not the German way . We hope you kick out Merkel , and replace her with a True German Patriotic Party .

У армии ГДР и парады были почти по всем прусским традициям, и форма а-ля Вермахт (Даже их каски были спроектированы ещё в Рейхе, правда в 1945 они не успели пойти в серию). И даже большую часть военных маршей в ГДР сохранили.

Hoera is not exclusive to Russia, here in Flanders and Holland it is shouted during celebrations such as birthdays, usually at the end of a birthday song we say " Hip hip hoera!" like 3 times.

I guess they ran out of money, because a lot those high ranking officers you see with the Kaiser would have their medals on their uniforms as well as the soldiers standing at attention.

Not so sure about that. Judging by the damaged buildings in the background they were fairly close to the Front, where it was unwise for officers to be too easily identified (for snipers).

It was a TV movie so it didn't have much of a budget but it is still a really good movie if you can look past the small things

I have read that some real soldiers back then got short changed by their chain of command to awards of valor for those who are less worthy. Honestly I have seen this during peace time and in war. The US Military is very guilty of this especially the Bronze Star. The Bronze Star was meant for valor in combat in the old days like Vietnam and before. During Iraq and Afghanistan Era it was given to certain E-6 and above for not fucking up or making it through their one year tour. The Bronze Star with V device were awarded to all soldiers that really had balls to fight in combat and get wounded. The US Military have really downgraded the Bronze Star as an end of tour award as to what it was really intended to be to recognize valiant effort in real combat. Back then and maybe now it has been recognized as being an administrative award for not messing up. The guys who on the lower level below E-5 usually got awarded with the V for valor because they really did bad ass shit in combat. My Dad got 3 Bronze Stars with valor in Korea for killing North Koreans and Communist Chinese along with Purple Hearts too. The US Military has become more bureaucratic than merit based in awards especially when it comes to soldiers who truly deserve on what they truly did in combat.
