To call an African religious practices idolatry is an insult to our beliefs deeply imbedded into a superficial view of what happened when a large number of people forsake their former religion for a new one. It's very ethnocentric judgement to easily brushed aside ones religion that is even older than Christianity and Islam combined. " it's a commonplace to hear that folk Catholicism is mixed with pagan survival, or that newly converted African Christians are "not real Christians" or have a veneer of Christianity " , because they have not totally abandoned all that they once believed " ( John DY Peel, 1968). We see objectification of both mainstream Christianity and Islam but no one considered them idol worshippers, hence only our African Religion. By the way how can a stranger tell the host their own culture and religion when that stranger does not even understand the host culture? Religion is the most important, and probably the most influence in the life of most Africans, yet it's an essential principles quiet too often unknown to foreigners who make themselves constantly liable to misunderstand the African worldview and beliefs. Almost every beliefs that they in Christianity, has similar beliefs if not better interpretations of that same belief in African Religions.

I think you should be more focused on the fact that this translator could still communicate with our Brother rather than complain about his accent. If you want to connect with us then you must shed the linear non-worldview mentality that America has fed you and be open and completely accepting of us because we have also suffered. Europeans do not find Afrikan accents heavy and that's why they easily infiltrate, unlike Americans who have a problem being objective when it comes to accents. Prince Charles attended High school in Ghana and was taught by Afrikan scholars. All our Brother had to do was pick out and add certain words in the translator's sentence to determine the word 'Heaven'. In fact, he pronounced the word 'Heaven' just like the Cockney do in the UK. Don't forget that we were colonized by the British and have heard English spoken better than the American's do but we put up with your accent, wrong spellings, and strange diction. We have accents in Afrika because we speak many languages/dialects, and have more languages than the rest of the world. I am very proud that after everything we endured at the hand of the Slavedriver, the imperialist and the Colonial master, we retained all our languages and dialects to our own credit because imagine our long lost Brothers and Sisters coming back to a people without culture and spirituality due to the loss of our original tongue.

[11]Observe thou that which I command thee this day: behold, I drive out before thee the Amorite, and the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite.
[12]Take heed to thyself, lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land whither thou goest, lest it be for a snare in the midst of thee:
[13]But ye shall destroy their altars, break their images, and cut down their groves:
[14]For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God:
[15]Lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and they go a whoring after their gods, and do sacrifice unto their gods, and one call thee, and thou eat of his sacrifice;
[16]And thou take of their daughters unto thy sons, and their daughters go a whoring after their gods, and make thy sons go a whoring after their gods.
[17]Thou shalt make thee no molten gods!.

Hahaha it was sooo common sense.
Is Heavely mate the same as spiritual friends ?
"Not real Christians". That is lordship fruit inspection and wrong judgement. It corrupts the gospel.

The Priest dialect is better than the translator’s. Lol. His is so heavy it’s hard to understand what he’s saying.
If one has not repented unto salvation, one cannot understand Almighty God's Word...for it is the Holy Spirit that brings understanding.
ESU is an image..."Thou shalt not have any graven images before you.". ESU is a statute, an idol,...an image....its existence is contrary to God's Word, therefore is not of God but is of man...as such, ESU does not have God powers to deliver, repay, bless, or punish!
The devil is a liar and rewards (deceives) his own.
Strong comment,however u a a white, but I agree with you
I do not agree with you.
The only way they could know if you accept Christ in your heart....

[3]If ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them;

Good stuff. Like out of a scene from a flick bruh
It would have been good for the priest to have worn African clothes at the shrine.

Only God knows everything.
"I know everything"..., lol is it cause u have read the bible from cover to cover that you now know everything?
@@proverbalizer yes but I don't read the Bible as fun but take it seriously as a book of history ,present and future events to a specific group of people. You know we have different generosities, so u are Free to do,speak what fits you however sometimes advice can make a difference, thanks
Lol!!! Utter nonsense! “African by nature” what on earth does that mean? I’m an African, there is no harm or danger in touching, handling, exploring any of these things. They are similar to the way Christians use a crucifix or statues of Jesus Christ. It is just an expression of the African traditionalists way of worshipping their Gods. Nothing more, nothing less.
Oh boy...
Bro becareful
i'd imagine that a journey like this would cost an arm and a leg.
Wow
The Bible says don't worship an idol, so plz stop your senseless idol believe and get with Jesus!!

[4]Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:

[6]And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
[7]Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

It would of been dope if a black persons art was displayed instead of an outsider just because she and her husband practiced Orisa spirituality. The depictions of Yeye Osun would have been so much more beautiful and life like... But yes Baba Esu is not the devil. Only if Christians knew Esu name is in their saviors name Jesus(j(ESU)s) and his Cross is also Baba Esu symbol + 😊. Oh and hi Dynast 🤴🏾😌💓💓💓💯
satin is a deceiver that steals esu from the matchless name of JESUS.

Esu is not the devil in Abrahamic sense. Esu reveals the evil in you. Esu is the orisha who opens the doors, between worlds
Hello, The lady who is behind the art is loved in Osogbo
@@Searchforuhuru Whomever did the art is deceived by the great deceiver, lucifer, satan...a spirit cast out of Heaven by the Almighty... whose goal has always been to be higher than the Almighty...whose has again beguiled and used another women (like Eve before) to create an art image that can appear to do the works as the Almighty.
ESU is a creation...God is the Creator. The creation cannot supplant the Creator. Choose ye this day whom ye will serve...for we cannot serve Almighty God and also serve esu...a man-made graven image...for we will love one and hate the other...we cannot serve both.
"I will look to the hills... from whence cometh my help...my help cometh from the Lord, which made Heaven and Earth!"

then go practice your satanism, has nothing to do with African spirituality
wake up in africa they worship lesser God which are demons ...falling angels
A Thousand Demons
Be quiet. Outright lie
Satan isn’t a spiritual being Satan is a person who embraces all of the negative aspects of life on AYE
You too much broda
ESU is exalted above the Lord Jesus Christ...slighting the deity of Jesus Christ who is Immanuel...God with us.
The very definition of Satanism is to exalt oneself or any person or object above God.
ESU is not satan for is a spirit not an object. ESU is the tangible work of the devil.
ESU is a paper mache-clay looking idle that was created...yet created nothing.
John 3:16.
What do people sacrifice to esu? Money?? I smell a rat! Why is this made your counselor. Is he sitting by esu to collect the sacrifices?
