My review is on the customer service aspect of my purchase, rather than the product itself.
I received my water bottle w/ cup, and I noticed the cap leaked. Well, it turns out the inner piece that fits within the cap was missing, therefore the cap did not properly seal the water bottle. I contacted them and they promptly sent me another water bottle without me having to send the old water bottle back. Now that's customer service!
I went on Amazon and purchased a Kleen Kanteen cap for the first water bottle and no more issues with leaks.

Received my kit today of the bottle/cup, ring stove, carrier and the fish/bail thing. Great kit, and whoever gave you the tip about using the fish thing for a bail was a freaking genius!

Hey Dave, great idea on the pot hanger for the water bottle. I've always just cut a wire hanger where it flares out to either side and bent the ends up to create the same thing, but without the O-ring spring at the top. It always worked great and I could use a stick to move it off the fire like that. It also doubled as a rack for putting my canteen cup across two rocks over the fire for cooking. Stored nicely in my canteen cover. This looks like a cheap stronger version of my hanger tool.

Hey Dave, just wanted to thank you on the service time you and your staff their at the pathfinder store have. I ordered my bottle last thursday night, and I believe it was shipped early friday morning. I live in maui hawaii and it just got here this morning. I did not think it would be here as quick. The shipping was a little high but now knowing how fast it will get here, I am more than willing to pay for quality product and great service.I appreciate your products and knowledge greatly.Thanks.

Just received mine in the mail. Must admit, I am a big fan of what Dave does for all of us. Having said that, this is a great looking bottle and cup set. I received it very quickly and in perfect shape. Great communication and tracking of package. Very professional experience. Looking at the bottle and cup, they look well made. I will have a chance in 3 weeks or so to test it out in the Arizona high desert. I expect it to last for many years as it has the look and feel of quality.

Got mine today. Was getting worried because it was leaking pretty bad. This video stated it would be shipped with a rubber seal along with a spare. Well after looking at my lid I did find my seal was bunched up and not seating correctly. Pulled it out with a paper clip and reseated, no more leak. I imagine the extra seal idea was dropped. Now, I'm highly satified with the product. You the man, Dave!

Just got my ultimate bottle cook kit a couple days ago. First impressions are very good.
I am putting it thru its paces as an EDC bottle and kitchen use. So far I really like it. You get more bang for your buck if you get the kit with the cover and accoutrements for only a few dollars more. The wide rim makes chugging no problem, the cup is like a small pot. WHat I really like is having everything in one place to cook etc.. I added some cordage, treatment tabs, izula and space blanket to mine

Hey Dave I drilled holes in the cup and with the fish mouth spreader it works great as a billy can. Just trying to think of a way to have a lid in with the system. A watched pot never boils. Thank you for all the great gear and gear reviews. I have bought a lot of gear from your website. Hope I will get the chance to take one of your classes.

Its a great combo. The Bottle is solid, and the nesting cup is huge, Ive been using it for many weeks now, putting it through everything, and its done great, The only thing i wish was different is that the nesting cup handles locked somehow, and didnt just flop around.

I've been looking to upgrade to a SS bottle, but was annoyed that the GSI cup didn't have the same capacity as my old military canteen cup. The Vargo was better but cost more than I was willing to pay. It's the whole reason I've held off going that route until now. It's only a matter of 6 ozs or so, but your kit solved that problem. Your cup and the Issue GI canteen cup are the same capacity. I just placed my order. Nice!

THANK YOU DAVE! Don't know why GD and Nalgene couldn't figure things out. Such a shame that such a great piece of a kit is not gone, maybe forever. Hope this bottle works out just as well--might have to pick one up! I love having the stove, nesting cup, and bottle all in one package. That's the advantage with canteens, but I'd much rather drink out of a bottle than a canteen. Great work!!!

Dave, I'm liking this set up. Would you suggest painting the bottle (as in the past). The only minor glitch with that would be it covers the Pathfinder Logo. Also, thanks for sharing the tip about using the 'fishing tool' as a holder.
I look forward to more reviews and especially one for the PF Trade Knife.
    Thanks again,

What a great addition to the cooking kit. I carry a stainless army Regal mess kit with a two compartment eating plate and frying pan top with folding handle. Four 5hr. energy drink bottles will fit perfectly in the mess kit filled with salt, pepper, cooking oil ect. I also carry a pot in addition to the mess kit. The new cup will double as a cooking pot and when it comes with the stove, bail and spork... can't think of anything else needed for cooking. I'll be ordering two complete kits.

Kick ass man. Great thought going into this product! Try this, it will surprise you, heat it up dry and quench it. I bet it still stays water tight. All you have to do if you accidentally boil it dry to soften it back up if it is the right metal is heat it back up and let it air cool. I'll bet it works!

I'm a big fan of all your canteens you have for sale and have a couple. My question is have you ever considered looking into a stainless steel screw top lid? Basically the exact same lid that's on it except stainless steel... I know I've heard you talk about how you think we over construct stuff sometimes these days but to me the stainless steel screw top lid would make the perfect kanteen setup especially with the way you have the stackable cup and stove with them. Let us know what you think!

Dave's testing with water is a good every-day practical test, but I would say that Dave's test wasn't an extensive test to show true durability over time. it would take more extreme testing with consistent results to show that. To answer your question - it's possible that somebody could get busy doing something and forget they had water boiling over the fire and end up roasting it empty after all the water boiled out. i.e. would it handle that for an extended time without damage?

You can make one of those bails from a thick clotheshanger, using a vise, a wood dowel, and some visegrips.

I like the looks of the bottle. I own several Klean Kanteens but the welds worry me. I'm concerned that they will eventually give out. Is the Pathfinder bottle made from a mould or does it have a seam/welds? Was it made in North America?

this bottle is great, and it fits nicely in a 10x4, but it would fit better with a sterno can on the bottom if it had the flat cap. would you guys consider stocking the flat cap as a add on? I know they dont cost much, it's just a bummer that shipping is as much as the cap to order separately. Thanks Dave for being about the commkn man.......

love the bottle, cup and stove, but this weekend when i was boiling water over a fire using my fish spreader to hang my bottle off a tripod, it lost all of its springiness and dumped the contents of the bottle onto my fire and put it out, which is a pretty large failure in the product.
now im just using to bulldog clips joined by wire which is lighter cheap and works
