Because 12/2 is 6, and 6 is still an even factor

If don't know don't worry I will tell you see
There is no. 12 so
2m/2 = 12/2 , m = 6
m²-1 = (6)-1 = 36-1 = 35
m²+1 = (6)+1 = 36+1 = 37
