I think the blonde looks very nice on you! My first thought is to add a bit more light copper at the top. I do agree that the brightness around your face looks great but some blending could help it all flow more seamlessly. It’s so awesome that you went for a big change! Even when you’re not painting you inspire me! Also I had to replay the part when you said your age like 3 times. I never would e guessed!! Thank you for sharing 💛
Ha! ha! yep I'm 48. And thanks so much for your feedback. I think you're right, I need to blend the top with the bottom because this look a bit crazy right now 🤗💛 Wishing you a lovely 2025 ahead :o)
BTW, your boyfriend or husband (I’m new to your channel) was so cute painting on your hair, with the snow in the background. And your dog is absolutely adorable.
I think the copper lowlight idea is an excellent one. Maybe you can keep two strands of the light blonde just at the front of your hair to keep some of that brightness, and then weave the copper blonde through the rest. I think it will look amazing. I have to say, this look really suits you! I'm a brunette myself and I've never been blonde, so I can imagine it feels strange but change can be very exciting. I think you look amazing - you look so much like Mischa Barton! She's also had that warm copper blonde more recently
Yes I was thinking to keep 2 front pieces to help preserve the brightness :o) Thanks for your kind words, it's much appreciated. Wishing you a lovely 2025 ahead 💛🤗
I love the sunset blonde! The high and lowlights make it look so natural and blended. Demi permanent colour is a great option for when the roots grow out 💛
Yeah, an option could be for me to add just a few more blond highlights in the lower dark orange parts to blend it a bit more and slowly get blonder with time as I touch up my roots. But it seems most people in the comments prefer the copper look with added low lights in my roots. I think both would look nice.
Im a hairdresser, I suggest to use a demi in the warm colour to match your ends and put it all over. It will wash out like highlights anyway and will make it more even, and using a demi is easy to bleach out again or it will just fade out gradually so you dont get regrowth from that either.
Hello! I went to school for cosmetology and I want to help so much. My first advice is to seek a professional when taking next steps. You roots are yellow (as you are aware) so putting the copper color on top would be hard to match since you have yellow roots and not a level 10 platinum blonde. I think you should do copper on the whole head, and get warm highlights like your inspiration pictures shows. Blonde face framing and money pieces will give the brightness around your face that you and your husband were loving. Hope this helps💛💛💛
💛💛💛 Yeah! it looks crazy right now!! Look at me trying to convince myself "Sunset Blonde" is a thing Pfffffffh! LMAO I'll have to fix that for sure. XOXO P.S. "I could get used to it is not quite a raving review"" hahahah I'm reminding myself of your university grad pic!
The lighter colour really compliments your eyes and makes them pop 🤩 I think the lowlights would look fabulous! Also can I just say, you have a youthful essence to you that tricks my eye into sometimes thinking you look 15 (especially with the lighter hair) It’s really cool to see your face from different angles change ages so seamlessly. Absolutely gorgeous!
I think you should do the lowlights ❤ they will really help even out the brightness at the top. I understand that you want David to like your hair but ultimately, it's your hair ❤️ also, you are very beautiful!! ☺️
I think you should add the copper lowlights if you want to absolutely keep some blonde but I personally think a full head of strawberry blonde or a light copper would look so good on you all over!
I would foil some lowlight and higlights, where the lowlights go all the way up in the same color as the lengths, do some more hignlight as well on the ends and maybe even a tiny root shadow with the color of the lengths as well. Or go with the color of the lengths all over first and put some highlights in after to brighten it up again. Or go all the way blond which I feel suits your eyes very much as they pop out alot more and look way more blue.
Maybe go to a salon and have them blend in the top or put a colour to match the ends as I really like the coppery tone on you, maybe a toner so if you don’t like it can wash off too💛 I like the ends
I had not thought of that, thanks! It's true that orange and blue complement each other, you're right! And I think the very pale blonde might wash me out a bit and the copper might be the perfect middle ground. Have a lovely rest of your week :o)
I'd say add a beige blonde toner on the blonde and then add the strawberry blonde low lights 👌🏽 Don't go back dark! The light warm colors suit you So well!
I bleached my hair and it turned out exactly your colour (at the salon). I'm keeping it for a while.. I think it's cool and blonde is very in right now :)
Hey 👋💛👋 I just looked for you here yesterday! I think you look great. But, #1 Main thing is, how do YOU feel when you see yourself? Don’t forget there is no rush #2 I love the smiles that come from trying something new. #3 remember there is no rush. When I started cutting & dying my own hair, crazy me did it the 1st time 3 days before my wedding. 😬. But it turned out great and no one knew I did it myself. And I saved soooo much $$$. I don’t dye anymore due to my health, but my current hairstyle took about a year & 1/2 to refine. Sometimes it takes several stabs at it & some time to think it through to get what you want. Not much different from our arting process really. Good to see you 😊🌺😊
OMG! 3 days before your wedding!! You are BRA-ve! Very nice to read you again by the way. So true about taking time to figure it out. I've been a dark brunette for so long, it's a big change and I think my hesitation comes from being super excited about both the blonde and the copper. If only I had two heads :D Wishing you a lovely 2025 ahead filled with health, love, spirit-lifting inspiration. Talk soon 💛💛💛
Don’t go back to brunette as you’re getting there but I’m amazed you achieved what you did with such a long dark coloured base. My professional opinion would be always consider this; When you lighten artificially coloured hair you get bannering. After the initial lightening the best way to avoid more bannering and patchiness is to go in with vertical balayage strips as it breaks up that bannering. On your hair now I’d recommend you add a lighter strip at the money piece area at the front. And go through with the lightener and just add a few subtle slices of lightener within the top sections to break up the line of demarcation you have. When you have done this and dried it. I’d go in with a Demi permanent shade like wella colour touch in 8.3 medium golden blonde and add very fine strips of low lights from the roots down. This will add a bit more depth to the top sections. Don’t use a copper as your hair already has a lot of copper in it. But if you just use pure base colours or a cool tone the shade could do muddy. And 8.3 is medium golden blonde so it will give you depth and add to the copper to create that shade you have on the lower sections. Remember your roots are going to come through in a few weeks. If you want to stay that pale blonde at the top use the bleach. If you want to stay a light copper blonde you could actually do your roots with a light blonde permanent colourant and this would lift you to a copper blonde. Best Scott
Hi Scott! Thanks so much for all the pro advice! :o) My plan was to add baby low lights of level 8 copper but a lot diluted (in a proportion of 1:6 with a 0.0 clear glaze) and do it just at the roots to mid where my yellow is but not touch the mid to ends so that I get a very blended light copper all over. Because I want to keep a fair bit of bold saturation. And as a last step, if ever I find the intensity to be too clownish I was planning on toning with a very diluted 0.7 to knock back some of the orange and yellow just a little bit. (like half 0.7 mixed with half 0.0 and leave it on just about 10 min). Because I know there is a risk of it getting muddy colors with a violet based toner. I'd like my overall result to be a bold level 8 Strawberry Blond with some level 9-10 golden beige highlights. I don't want it to go honey blond, I want to keep lots of copper tones. I should really go see a professional at this point. 🫢 Anyways, thank you again for taking the time to write to me and thanks for the encouragements, it's well needed! Have a lovely week ahead ✌️💛
My hair is a dark blonde and sometimes it is a strawberry blonde. I do have some red tones in my blonde hair. My father had red hair. Only one time my hair did turned a strawberry blonde when I was 8 years old just after having a bad sunburn on my back during the summer of 1978. I could do a strawberry blonde color. I do have bleach blonde hair color.
The easiest upkeep would be to separate the crown of your hair and leave it as is. And then dying the underneath a light copper. This way , it is easy to keep up with your roots. And there is a vail of blonde mixing with the copper. I have been liking those copper and blonde photos, too. Most of them are ai generated or from professional hair salons. I bleach my hair at home. So I suggest just doing the top portion would be the easiest, healthiest way to keep it up.
I think you should add more deeper copper highlights all over and, I know you'll hate me for saying this but I think cutting your hair in a specific style with some layers would look great on you.
thank you for your suggestions :o) I thought about layers but my hair is thinning so I find layers tricky. I should probably go see a professional hairdresser ♥
Les cheveux, Plus pâle sa te va très bien. Moi je préfère le copper du bas que le trop pâle du haut. Mais le copper du bas avec des Highlights dedans sera très beau.🤗
Sweetie, please go to a good salon to finish off the look. I know you’re trying to do it yourself, but you’re at a point where major damage could occur because honestly, you don’t seem to have a full understanding of this process, which is why you got such hot roots and patchy dark midshafts. But I can tell you what to do if you insist on completing the look yourself. And again honestly, no, it doesn’t look good now. But the good news is that you’re actually very close to the inspiration photo. Here is how to get there from here: 1) purchase an excellent quality box dye where the photo on the box looks very much like the inspiration photo and also close to your hair shafts. You’d probably need 2 or 3 boxes. (I suggest box dye because the good ones are formulated for people who are not in the beauty industry, and the good ones do work very well) 2) select out a few highlights in the front (money pieces) and cover those in foil. 3) apply the box dye to the blonde sections of your hair and let it process for 30 minutes. Do not get it on the foiled sections. 4) after 30 minutes, run the dye through the rest of your hair and leave it on for 5 minutes, including the blonde upper portion of the foiled sections, but do not cover the lower section of the foiled pieces. It must be the remnants of the dye that has already processed for 30 minutes, do not mix up fresh dye for this. 5) then rinse the hair with cool water, and follow up by washing with a special color protecting, non-sulfate shampoo and good conditioner. If you follow this instruction for color correction, you will get the look of the photo, although some light layering might also be needed. One thing at a time.
I think you should go to a hairstylist to fix it. It's already bleached, damaged. The lighter should be placed by a professional to avoid over lifting ur already very blonde platinum hair strands and to target the very orange red spots to light them as far as it can go. So, if you want ur hair to survive this and still have lengths and strength to it. Use the k18 treatment and apply masks and oils, avoiding heat, wet brushing.... wait one week and do your research to pick a hairdresser that can fix it, and just to note, neutral blondes will go better to ur skintone and complex. No ash. Less orange and yellow ❤
Welllllll... I would NEVER EVER HAVE guessed you were 48!! Hon... 32-35 more like it. Sometimes we do what we gotta do!! Blonde is fun! What I want to know from you is if 'Blondes have more fun'. (It was an advertising jingle from the 70-80's for hair color). FYI... virgin hair (never colored) ALWAYS takes color hard. And hey... this is a complete change for the first time, of course you will be shocked. But YOU LOOK BEAUTIFUL!
never go back to brunette again! omg, the blonde/cobber looks gorgeous on you. I'm gen z so I know what I'm talking about lol and you look 35 yo tops btw
I've watched so many videos of Brad Mondos of people bleaching their hair from brown to blonde & so many are a disaster... you're lucky that you have strong hair that doesn't seem to of suffered too much, however it would look so much better done professionally, it's impossible to get any real blonde dimension by merely bleaching....I have blonde hair, naturally I'm medium brown & there are so many shades of blonde that would flatter your skin tone much better...I agree you do suit it lighter but having the hair you've got it would be a real shame not to make the best of it
I know I should see a pro but I have hear lots of bad hair salon bleaching disaster stories that I wanted to do it at home slowly but surely because I had remove all the black box dye from 12 years and I didn't want my hair to be burnt to a crisp. I have a achieved that. The last push is to get it to be a nice blended strawberry blonde :o)
no darling,no... step no. 1 - dissolve the previous artificial pigments from the colors from your hair... this is done with a sulfur-based product SUBRINA ELIMINATOR,or COLOR OOPS,or COLOR PEEL from Pro salon-they does not contain ammonia, peroxide or bleach)... the result will be yellow or orange hair, which will then be further colored or bleached..
lol I understand how you feel about brunette, I liked it too. I don't plan on leaving it yellow. I think I'll put lowlights at the top to blend with bottom and then do a tone which should remove the yellow.
The blonde made u look so much younger!! Ur so gorgeous x
Thank you!
im really surprised, usually don't like dark to light hair but it brightens you up so much it's beautiful
Thank you so much for you kind words, it's much appreciated. Have a great weekend ahead :o)

Adorable little puppy!! 🥰
The blonde easily took off 10+ years!!! And your beautiful eyes pop! Great color on you.❤
Amazing, thanks for that comment!!! 💛💛💛
you look so much younger and more fresh with blonde hair, it was great choice to go lighter. Also your blue eyes shine now ❤

OMG your new hair is absolutely gorgeous! Unusual but very, very fancy!!
:oD Thank you!! I'm still going to try to tame the yellow but yeah, a big change for sure! Wishing you a lovely 2025 ahead!

I'm pretty sure i'll go with lowlights on top, I think it will look nice ♥

Yellow roots look good keep that
You're the first one to say that! :o) We are the only 2 that are pro sunset 💛 hee hee
@ yeh
😮 I could get used to it.... But I would definitely add the copper lowlights on top. 💛

Please put the copper all over your hair, it suits you so well! You can also leave out a couple of blonde pieces for the highlight effect
Thank for the recommendation, I will put copper low lights for sure, I'm still undecided on how much :o) Have a lovely week ahead
you should do itttttt
Thank you, I will! If feel like it will look nice in the end :o)
Copper lowlights is the best idea! Also perhaps add a little shadow root with the lowlights to blend your natural hair better
I have not thought about the shadow root, thank you!! :o)
I think you should do the lowlights ❤ they will really help even out the brightness at the top. I understand that you want David to like your hair but ultimately, it's your hair ❤️ also, you are very beautiful!! ☺️
Yeah, I think I'll do the low lights to get a more blended effect, I think that will look nice! Thanks for the advice :o) Have a great week
Looks Awesome Lighter
Keep it light for a bit
You fan always go darker
Your Dog is So Freaking Cute
And Adorable ❤❤❤
He is the CUTEST!! 💛💛💛 Thanks for the kind words, it's much appreciated :o)

OMG! 3 days before your wedding!! You are BRA-ve! Very nice to read you again by the way. So true about taking time to figure it out.
Strawberry blond is my favorite shade of blond, so bold and glam! :o)
Oh! Thanks for that! I hadn't thought about the upkeep, great idea!
Try xmondo toner. It won't damage your hair.
And start from the bottom where it's more orange. 🙂
Thanks for the advice
💛
Thank you so much, you are a super star!! 🤗💛

💛💛💛
find a good strawberry blonde/ warm blonde shade and you're good to go queen
Thanks so much!! 💛💛💛
Full copper baleyage keep some face framing of the lighter hair you have now maybe a glaze on top
I think you are spot on! Thanks :o)
Copper lowlights with face framing blonde and maybe a Scandinavian hairline
Thanks for the recommendation! I think you're right! (gonna have to look up Scandi hairline, no clue what that is) :)

Get a toner on that!
LOL I know right! :o)
I’m sorry I dyed my hair light it looks nice but feels like straw especially after shampooing
K18 really helps with that

no darling,no... step no. 1 - dissolve the previous artificial pigments from the colors from your hair... this is done with a sulfur-based product SUBRINA ELIMINATOR,or COLOR OOPS,or COLOR PEEL from Pro salon-they does not contain ammonia, peroxide or bleach)... the result will be yellow or orange hair, which will then be further colored or bleached..
its a bit late for that LOL
Copper with a blonde money piece
Yeah, I think that seems to be the consensus! Thanks for the feedback, it really helps. Have a good week :o)
Your supposed to leave inch of hair or you get hot roots & your guy didn’t put enough bleach on the brush see Brad Mondo videos
thanks for the advice :o)
Go back to brunette. I like your hair darker. 🩷😃
Hee! Hee! :o) 💛 Love the honesty 💛
Go back to brunette. The yellow isn't...no. It's not working.
lol I understand how you feel about brunette, I liked it too. I don't plan on leaving it yellow. I think I'll put lowlights at the top to blend with bottom and then do a tone which should remove the yellow.
