A friend put this classic on a cassette tape of other Canadian garage bands and I made several trips through the 'States singing along with this tune in the car. Nice!
Hey just found this... we were from Hamilton, Ontario, Canada during the late 80's. Put out one album on Zap Records with a slightly different version of this and 12 other originals. Hope to one day post some videos - light shows, gogo dancers, etc. I went on to the spacerock band Thee Gnostics. (find the .com of the same name).
This isn't the same Chessmen group that did "You Can't Catch Me". Not sure where this group is from, but the ones that recorded You Can't Catch Me were from Fort Wayne, IN.
