      Hello,
      Namecheap uses cPanel (control panel) for our hosting services management.
      There are several possible ways to log in to cPanel, you can find all the methods described in this short how-to: th-cam.com/video/jg1djlP8vn4/w-d-xo.html
      Should you have any other questions, please let us know.
      Kind regards,
      Namecheap Team

    It's just a bit too techy for average users. Plus, following the instructions in cheapname website already enable subscribers to use the email. So why bother??

      Hello,
      Thank you for your question.
      It is necessary to add Private Email DNS records to the domain's DNS zone to make the email service work properly.
      In the case of domains hosted with us, the records should be added to the cPanel account.
      Kind regards,
      Namecheap Team

    This makes no sense I have absolutely no idea what your saying, you said delete the file that says v=spf1.... but that's not what u did in the video. You then said use a filter? What filter? What do we filter and then delete. This is SO confusing ....

    • @danimotherofchickens479
      @danimotherofchickens479 ปีที่แล้ว

      You hit MX then delete everything that shows up????

    • @namecheap
      @namecheap  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@danimotherofchickens479 Hi! We are sorry for this misunderstanding. Please note that you can use only one email for your domain, so if you have any other DNS records configured for the previous email, it is necessary to delete them and create new ones for Private Email.
      As for filters, they help you to sort all your records for easier management. For example, removing TXT or MX records used for the previous email.

    Dont bother with cpanel email. Not worth the headache. IP will likely be blacklisted with shared hosting

    I have been trying to set up DKIM, SPF AND DMARC on Namecheap but still not getting it
    It's just complicated
    How can I get DKIM, SPF AND DMARC Value
    I watched some videos on it and when they got to the value part they will say you can get it from your email provider
    HOW CAN I GET THESE VALUE?

    • @namecheap
      @namecheap  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello,
      We are sorry that you faced such an issue. A DKIM record is generated automatically after you create the first mailbox in your Private Email subscription. It is needed to copy the DKIM record and paste it into the DNS zone of your domain. You may find more information here: www.namecheap.com/support/knowledgebase/article.aspx/10383/2176/how-to-set-up-a-dkim-record-for-private-email/
      Also, SPF record for Private Email service is the following one:
      Hostname - @; Record Type - TXT; Value - v=spf1 include:spf.privateemail.com ~all.
      We do not provide DMARC record for Private Email service, however, if you would like to use such record, you can generate it using this tool: mxtoolbox.com/DMARCRecordGenerator.aspx.
      If there are any issues during the process, do not hesitate to contact our Support Team via Live Chat (www.namecheap.com/help-center/live-chat) or Ticket System (support.namecheap.com/index.php?/Tickets/Submit). We will be happy to help you and set up the necessary records from our side.
      Kind regards,
      Namecheap Team
