What is the September weather like at Walt Disney World?

I am from Brazil. I am planning a trip to Walt Disney World in September. I hear it will be hot and rainy, but how hot and rainy. Will the parks close because of the rain?

I specifically planned to visit Disney World for the very first time at 42 years old the first week of September 2018. I live in the Houston area and it doesn't rain daily here, but gets very hot too, so I'm already acclimated to the heat. I'm aware of the steaming humidity after the rain, but I'll deal with it.

I'm planning to visit Orlando on September, i'm concerned about hurricanes and thunderstorms on September, does this affected flights? Does the Flights áre commonly cancelled or delayed on September?

Is the end of August, around the 22nd-26th, usually a good time to go to Disney World? Are the waiting times for rides usually long for those days?
