Will remember this when we are ready to close ours in the fall.

Is the pool in this video the 18’ version. I know some of your older videos was a different pool and a newer video showed the install of the 18’. Is this an 18’ pool and you used the 18’ cover? I’m looking to buy a cover for my 18’x42” pool. Thanks!!

We live in west TX also and are rual so nothing to cut the wind. We have never had a cover survived the winter and spring winds here. I am going to try this brand if they have an oval one. We do have shrink wrap. Thank you.

We’re you able to fine a oval? I’m super happy with the quality of this one.

Do you know of a 52” 20’ round Intex solar cover reel?

    2 questions here.
1: What do you do with the water that is caught on top of the cover after heavy rains? I live in Washington State and we get “rain”. 😂 Doesn’t your pool just fill up again, having nowhere for the rain water on top of the cover to go?
2: What’s the purpose of the pillow? Doesn’t the rain water just gather around the pillow and still collect on top?
We normally just have a cover 1 size smaller than the pool and it lays on top of the water and still allows excess water to drain out the return nozzle. I’ve noticed the water tension keeps the winds from blowing the cover off as well. Just curious. ❤️🤙🏾

If I get a large amount of water on the top, then I put a garden hose in, and I siphon it out onto the ground. The main purpose of a pillow is to keep the top off of the water, but that’s very hard to do. You would have to pull it down really tight. Mine normally just covers the pillow and then lays on top of the water. I like debris or leaves that fall into it. They are much easier to reach and clean out.

How did it hold up for the harsh winter? I live in Oklahoma and it gets bad out here. I was thinking about putting mine away for the winter.

The pool does great throughout the winter possibly because the way I cover it and shrink wrap it 👍🏼

Where do you buy the shrink wrap? I live on the upper part of oregon, Calder the gorge. We get 50 mph wind throughout winter. Need to get the wrap too.

Do you have to put any type of chemical in the pool to close it? We live in IL and this year was our first year with an intex 16’ and I just took it all down as we are going to have a landscaping company come out in the spring so we plan to leave it up next years but I’m nervous with the cold temperatures we get here.
