In this hit romantic comedy, high school student Bo-eun is forced into an arranged marriage with the adorable but way older Sang-min because of a pact their grandfathers made during the Korean war. For anyone who wants to watch this plz keep in mind that it did come out about 16 years ago meaning that some of the jokes did not age well and do come off very misogynistic. The early 2000s was definitely still pretty “old fashioned”. But other than that it’s a great film! Definitely a not so serious, feel good kind of movie that mimics everyday life...Minus the child marriage part 😂

I can't believe they foced her to get married that young and let her sleep with him and even motivated them. Even tho it sounded like he forced her in the bedroom everyone thought it was okay. Even if someone is married with that person doesn't mean it's automatic consent. The person has the right to reject if they feel uncomfortable.

Maybe this kind of marriage arrangement was popular in 2004, I heard many people got married in 16,17 in our country also around that time. But this was 16 years ago so people might not do that anymore. In Asia, if the bride and groom are OK and their parents agreed too they could get married.
