Had nothing but velcro forever until I recently purchased Hit N Move Balance with laces. Added Lace N Loop using a modified Suavecito method and I've got the best of both worlds with the best gloves I've owned so far. It's a shame the Lace N Loop is so expensive for what they are.

Lace-ups with converters are my go-to. Never going back to velcro. Wrist support feels so much better

The Phenom SG-210 Velcro gloves have the best wrist support of any Velcro gloves I’ve ever tried. I used Fortress T.5 wraps with a 1 meter hand wraps to wrap my hands before I put my gloves on. To be totally honest, I’ve tried the Phenom Velcro gloves and then some Fight2Finish lace up gloves immediately after, and I couldn’t tell a difference. With both, my wrist was totally supported and I had very limited movement left to right, as well as backwards and forwards in my wrist. The only difference I felt was that my lace up gloves were very tight around my wrist to the point where it was ALMOST cutting off a bit of circulation.
Personally, those Fight2Finish gloves are the only lace ups I’ve ever tried but I do plan on getting a pair of lace up Winning 14oz gloves bc lace ups last longer (don’t have to worry about the Velcro wearing out) and with LaceNLoops I don’t think I’d lose any convenience. I also think lace up gloves are more aesthetically pleasing. They have a more professional look for sure.

Hey Carlo quick question! So do you think everlast elite pro’s 14 ounces looks bulkier than the 12? And the 14 ounce version almost looks like a Muay Thai gloves 😂 do you think it’s like a common issue or just this black one you have?

Velcro unless your actually doing a 10 round sparring session in the ring to simulate an actual fight.
Week in and week out you shouldn’t worry about your wrist because you will wear out your shoulders hitting the bag or injuring your sparring opponent.
Wrap your hands do some skipping or runs or sit-ups put your Velcro on hit the bag for 1 round and repeat. You can go start heavy like 18oz and end up 10oz. Lace ups keep to body shots in sparring

My Goddaughter wants to start hitting the mits and heavy bag. She's 12 and about 4'9, is there a glove you can recommend? Figured you would be the person to ask. I was thinking about the venum impact 12oz, but I noticed they had women's gloves. Thanks for your reviews.

I don’t think gloves are for wrist support. I believe if you stack your wraps your gloves will fit tighter. Theoretically.

Great video Carlo as it tells the truth regarding traitional velcro not really providing direct wrist support.
I think you should have mentiined lace converters as they make traditional velcro gloves obsolete.

The problem is lace converters absolutely suck. I have 14 laceups and use the regularly when coaching, training sparrin
But alot of the time if I'm opening up our gym just getting off the subway and time to myself. Converters suck. Even when training at more home personal training
Why I have been asking everyone if there is a 10oz velcro. I have Cleto & Casanovas 16 and Rivals in 14.

Combat corner sells 10oz in the white color way of their HMIT gloves. That’s the only 10 I know of

@buttered__toast_2899 you guys are great. Someone else on here turned me on to Isamis which look great but take a few months to get
I'm going to look into these. Last thing I need is anothet pair of gloves but they are the only things I buy for myself. Laceups are the best but like I said if I have 30 minutes in between coaching I would rather not mess with a converter

@buttered__toast_2899 what is the name of the pair? There's alot of HMIT gloves and all seem to be the usual 10 12 14 16
I'm looking for a 10oz light heavyweight lace up pro style just with velcro
