My southern genetics are compelling me to make sure everyone knows “hummingbird” cake is a delicious banana pineapple spice cake with pecans and cream cheese frosting ❤ originated in Jamaica (whose national bird is the hummingbird!) and was a huge hit in the Deep South and became a staple of MeMaw’s bakery recipe binders everywhere. No hummingbirds were harmed in the making of the cakes 😂

Book loft is too clean for the name.. you expect something dirty and woody, leathery, etc. i actually do love the scent. It smells like musky, smokey amber, mixed with clean linen.. which is really interesting and peculiar to me. I just think the name is wrong.. bridgerton study and no. 42 are more what i though book loft would smell like. BF should have been named clean linen + amber, and put in the neautral white barn jar.
