Some notes from these pearls from Djokovic which we could apply for our own lives in some way:
    1. Conscious breathing (simplest and most effective) to be in the present
    2. Focusing on the present moment
    3. Visualizing of the game and winning (ahead of the game)
    4. Looking inwards and drawing strength during moments of adversity
    5. Accepting the mental voices or doubts that run thru the mind and channel them positively
    6. Mindfulness/meditation
    7. Journaling/communication with family/life coaches to address any emotional pop ups
    8. Reaffirming positive feelings in tough moments

I agree. In terms of awesomeness and superlativity on court, Novak is just a notch above Rafa and Roger. Sure, the fans and other pros don't love him - witness Novak's 0 vs Roger's 32 ATP fans' favourite and sportsmanship awards - but he is the greatest beast on court of all time. Roger has all those awards and played The Beautiful Game on top of his 20 GS's - so has a justifiable claim on 'overall GOAT'. But if you're just talking tennis on court, it's Novak for sure now....

    Novak is a true hero.
Typical trait of people from his part of the world is blunt honesty.
To someone from the West, who is more PC this often comes out as rude or arrogant and that is why people sometimes see him as that.
He is a very expressive person, and carries his emotions on his sleeve for everyone to see.
If he is happy, he smiles. If he is angry, he breaks a racquet.
It might look bad to someone, but at least it is honest.
I've dealt with many people in my life and found out that this type of person is the best to be around.
I wish him all the best.

He always has an extra gear. The first two sets vs Carlos in French open semi final this year were shocking level! He visualized that right there was his biggest hurdle to win #23 and he raised the intensity sky high .. so much that a 21 year old world no 1 super fit guy collapsed with cramps.

I hear for the first time that he also walks an "inner path", a spiritual one or whatever you call it. Somehow it was noticeable that he ticks differently than most others. It's very rare to hear an athlete talk about breath like that. I'm happy for him. It's one thing to win many titles, but it's another thing to know how to enjoy them.
And he seems to have that wisdom.

Federer= Wizard ; Aestetic Perfection, gliding on court, effortless as close to angelic or poetry you can get.
Nadal= Warrior ; Maximum Battle, until the last drop of blood, you will hit one more ball and make an error.

My eye test tells me prime Nadal is better than prime Djokovic. Joker leads the circumstantial head-to-head 30-29, and he's sure to end up with the most Grand slams given his age and health. But it's crazy to me how, almost quietly, Djokovic was able to surpass Fed and Nadal cause it always felt to me like he was in their shadows...for the past 20 years it was Federer and Nadal's world and everybody else was an afterthought
