@@techknight3753 But Dire has used the Kitchen Sink for infinite water in other packs. Most notably when needing to pump water into machines, nuclear reactors, and other things. He has even used them as infinite water sources for grabbing buckets of water before.
Cooking for blockheads was made with Pam's Harvestcraft in mind, the slots in the oven are meant for the bakeware items from the Pam's recipes. I don't think there's any such specific integration for Farmer's delight, but the mod is pretty comprehensive and easy enough to use. You'll also probably want to make a knife and put it on your tool rack, a lot of Farmer's Delight recipes use one! Hope that helps clear things up a bit
I'm not even sure that it'd work unless the mods have compatability by default. Reason being almost all those recipes involve using the farmer's delight cutting board... Then seconds after I pause to reply... he puts the cutting board in... lol
1st off, That frying pan is used with that other brick oven Dire passed over in JEI. 2nd, Pam's Harvest Craft is the mod connected with the frying pan and pots along with Kitchen Mod to make recipes. 3rd, The cutting board is good but a believe you also need a Cutting Knife which can be put in the rack above the stove. 4th, Dire please remember that the kitchen sink is unlimited water source, lol. And 5th, there are lot's of other foods and ingredients needed to be put in recipes: cocoa beans, sugar, milk, berries, apples, source berries, chorus fruit, mushrooms, beets, etc.
Dire, I've been watching you for many years, though life happened and I haven't caught much in the last 4 years or so. I am having as much fun now as early forgecraft with peat farms and giant xycraft tanks. Love this series and your stoneblock, thank you for staying the same through it all, have a happy new years, and I'm exceited for 2023.
Wasnt cooking for blockheads mad to be integrated with Pams harvestcraft? the slots on the oven seems to fit those icons perfectly(least going from previous packs that had both mods) dont recall Pams being mentioned for this version hence why things may seem "off"
28:00 - you say "non automatiable," but you fail to take into account the bookwyurm, a pet that you can make who casts spells, and the wonders surrounding it.
Dire! I have an idea for what you could use for your "Home Base" item frame. It's something you will probably get a few of... It's something that always gives you a good laugh when you get it... It's your head! Every time you use the mob masher you (at SOME point) end up forgetting that its on and it gives you your player head!
Mekanism also has a personal teleporter that can use a Mekanism teleporter block as a teleport destination. You can select from a list of multiple different destinations too. The teleporter block only needs power if you plan on forming a portal; as a destination with a personal teleporter, it does not require power. If you have multiple teleporters linked to the same frequency, then your personal teleporter will teleport the player to the closest one.
Hey Dire, it's been 11 years of watching. I find it comforting that you're always there, lol. From 14 years old in grade 8 watching you after dinner on my dads computer, to playing along with you in my own home with my wife and office. Crazy man. Crazy. Thanks for continuing on! Let me sneak a few more hours in before I get yelled at ;)
20:25 Whoa whoa whoa wtf just happened. My brain hurts. Did anyone else notice this? The sandwich mod? I think you're referring to Culinary Construct that was in MCEternal perhaps. I found a nice way of getting source quickly and easily if you have Snad in the pack. Grow cactus with a fence post (or machine) to auto break it and pulse the snad with a redstone link. INFINITE POWAH!!!!!1! ... well not powah but source. Hey Derpywolf I just had an idea for a new mod. "Warping Gadgets" allows players, entities or entire rooms moved to a target location that has the receiver machine located. (Not totally stolen idea from remembering about Portal mod)
I posted question on Reddit about not being able to craft ForceCraft Upgrade Cores and finally got an answer. You are supposed to be able to craft a Force Rod and an Experience Tome together to get Upgrade Cores (100 XP/each desired core) but it doesn’t work. Workaround: Put the Force Rod and Tome in an AE2 or RS crafting grid. Save and quit to Title. Re-enter the game. Open the grid and your cores will appear in the output slot.
Happy New Year Dire! Hey, name the item you put in a frame on an anvil and you'll have the name showing when you look at the item in the frame. Just in case you forget the item for a location. On the cfb stove, the spaces showing pots and pans are for the old Pam's tools, unfortunately. Make the Farmers stoves for the cooking pot and skillet, it's worth it. The cutting board needs the knife. And no, they're not integrated.
If you're having issues getting blaze rods, use a crushing macerator from cyclic on netherrack. It's only about a 6% chance per block. But you can still end up getting three or four blaze rods from a stack of rack
I like that he is making it more of a home with a kitchen.. would be nice if he made a living room also with his bed in it. He never does stuff like that.
Dire, if you ever do another portal room could you make it a glass box high in the sky, because even though the structure might be ugly the view would at least be better than a stone brick box
What magical methods are you planning to use for Auto mining? If you make a mana generation for botania you can use the flour that turns regular Stone into ores that way you can Auto mine it or use a fortune pickaxe on it
Yeah, I think he just got stuck on the idea of "portal room underground" and didn't recalibrate when he decided to make the portal room underground but not his basement. Hopefully he'll think to move it up to somewhere near where he warps into his home so he doesn't have to continually do the "warp/port home, then run downstairs to get to the portal to the portal room" dance, which at least for me, would get old the second or maybe third time I did it.
i think "the sandwich mod" is called culinary delight or something close to it. also, farmers delight as far as i know doesn't integrate well with cooking for blockheads.
Hey Dire...there is a staff that will clear the grass and everything from the Gobber mod... found it while i was playing the mod pack.. btw love the vids keep up the good work
Dire, now that you have the magic portal and tech portals, just go to the end for endless ender pearls, just leave the dragon alive, that is what I do to be able to cope with the inside ender pearls requirements
Pretty sure that Cooking for Blockheads was made for Pam's Harvestcraft which isn't updated to 1.19 yet... so it seems kinda useless to have it in the pack, unless it's only for deco and the sink that people uses for water...
@@carmenclemons2556 some yeah... But i don't think i can one click craft some of the more speciel foods that need the chopping board or other stuff like with pam's...
It would take too much clicking to teleport. Dire needs a 'oh no I'm falling to my death, click, teleported home in the nick of time' kind of item. Going into the inventory screen in Dire situations to put a scroll in offhand and then going through spells in the book to select the blink one... not seeing it
For your "Warp Spell" 99% sure that you can hold a warp scroll in your off hand to target a location, then cast a self blink spell. (Would seem I should have finished the video first) Glad to see more Ars will be in the pack!

hearthstone and waystone mods should be in your packs. While you usually go with a technological solution your lp's that do more magic tend to be more creative. At least as far as we can push dire to be creative.

Only Dire would wish he had a water source upstairs immediately after placing a kitchen sink with infinite water 3 blocks away from his terminal lmao
Classic Dire!
I was literally thinking exactly this lmao, the sink is such a great water source
"If only I had an instant easy way home" -- Uhhh, /home
He's gotta keep it interesting for his comment section right? LUL
To be fair the tool tip does only say it provides water to recipes. Why that stopped him from trying is a different story

I think this magical start has been the best content in forever from Dire. And he’s making a kitchen… truly a “magical” start.

Hey Dire, the brush scythe from cyclic can clear away the prairie grass
Been watching his series for years now! Just hope it plays pneumatic craft. One of my favorite mods.
Moderate progression into occultism gives you a pretty reliable source of ender pearls, imo

You could do way stones for your anywhere to home teleport
Gobber looks a little bit bit like a small guy's Draconic Evolution.
I created an Ars tree farm and use it to generate source with the Volcanic Sourcelink. The spell turrets are pretty powerful
Lol kitchen sink= infinite water source, and you need to use the Pam's harvest craft pots and pans for the kitchen.

You can also use teleporter from mekanism. You place the blocks down and use the item to teleport to any teleporter block. It is really useful
you should definitely put the main base to portal room portal upstairs. maybe in the wall of the "doorway" between the entry room and the large room?

I've missed those insta-portal mods. I remember the ones way back in maybe season 2 or 3 with the portals that were designed after the game Portal.
I love that dire for the first time (i recognize) makes a kitchen in his series xD
i was thinking this is too small room
3 second later dire be like this room may be too big :D
Cooking for blocks heads was mad to go with Pam's Harvest craft I guess thats the reason it does not work well with Farmers Delight

@Direwolf20 the cyclic brush scythe will clear the prairie grass near your base
You can't fight in here, this is the warp room

Probably, but he'd still need a tier 3 book since Blink is a tier 3 glyph.
Please consider Waystones.
Naughty naughty, dire using tech

cooking for direwolfs
Still can't wait for him to play with Forcecraft
It's probably instant because the chunk is already loaded.
charcoal to black dye ? omg I love them too.
Please just use the Home command. He says it feels “cheaty” but there’s been multiple series where he uses it constantly
Home command is no fun when there are many mods that let you do exactly that for a cost
Isnt there a talisman you can make to warp home looks like a wing
Anybody else noticed you can't toggle whitelist in trash cans

Yeah, cooking for blockheads isn't as good without pams. The two sing together exceptionally well, but there's not enough for cfb to do w/o pams.
"...In my last series i had a magical tower..." it was a cylinder.
A lot of stereotypical wizard's towers are cylinders. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
