@@sanlorenzo7896 Honestly, playing Mafia 2 before Mafia 1 is honestly such a better order to do so. The reveal of Tommy's death hits much harder when you realize that a simple scene you didn't give much thought about when you were playing Mafia 2 was actually the ending of Mafia 1. That's why I recommend to all my friends who are getting the series to play it in that order, since it just makes the reveal so much better.
@@zeussoulhd2169 And after I finished watching a playthrough of the first game, I then felt remorseful about it. I probably would have preferred stealing an entire dealership’s worth of cars for Bruski instead of carrying out the hit. 😂
in Mafia 2. it follows with an intenst car chase, and the duo is captured, and tortured so bad, the mission ends with Joe is sent to Doc Greco treatment. He would return in the last Mafia 2 mission. coaxed by an endboss to fight for. it was Vito's courage permitting Joe to decide his fate that Joe realized who his allegiance truly is. in Mafia 1 he's a villain hitman, in Mafia 2 he has moral constrains. even amongs people who are considered 'all evil' by generic moral standards.

I finished the definitive edition of the first game today...
Seeing my 3 faviroute characters (Paulie, Sam and Tommy) die was a very sad experience
